I returned to the main room with Reo. Some how I avoided blushing. Once we got there, I listened to several stories next to Reo. There was silence as we were waiting for someone else. I considered speaking, but I was afraid my real feelings would show. Eventually, I sucked it up and took the mic.
"Well, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Kat. I used to live in a large group of Glameow gijinkas. There was one Purugly, but she left shortly after she evolved. I had grown up there, with my mom, who was also a Glameow, and my dad was a Sableye who I rarely saw. I was friends with everyone there; I was an outgoing type, and everyone loved me. But... one day, I remember seeing my mom crying. She told me never to leave the camp ever again. Of course I rather energetic and couldn't be confined to a space for a long time. So I gathered us younger kids and told them we were going exploring outside camp. That's when I found out why I was confined to camp. We were the last group of known Glameow Gijinkas in existance. Ignoring the protests, I told them I would go anyway.
"I was barely outside camp when I heard screams. I ran back to find bounty hunters everywhere. Glameows were being taken away in large cages. My dad was fighting desperately to protect my mom, but eventually he was stunned, thrown in a cage, and I never saw him again. I took a dart to the arm, and couldn't remember much after that. I awoke to find I was a bounty hunter experiment. The last of the experiments. Now... well I'm not sure of this or not, but I'm most likely the last Glameow out there." I had kept my head down, so that the shadow from my hair covered my eyes. But now I raised it with a big smile, looking like the most flawlessly happy person ever. I'm sure most were fooled, except maybe Estelle and some other psychic types out there. Possibly one or two dark types. I hoped Reo didn't notice (not that she really has to worry rofl).
"But, hey! It's nice knowing your unique at age 16!" I gave a small, bubbly laugh. I heard a few nervous laughs echo mine. "I'm perfectly happy now, living with you all. I have some remodeling and decorating to do with my room, and I just got over a bit of temporary paralysis in my legs, but nobodies perfect." I ended with the cliche old quote, and sat down again next to Reo. I was glad that was over. And no one had really noticed much. *sweat wipe*
