Glad to help! Yeah, all Pokemon names are actually really simple if you think about it. All they are, are just a couple of words smooshed together.
Skitty = skittish kitty
Pikachu = pika (a small mouse-like rodent) chu (sound of mice)
Squirtle = squirt turtle
Wartortle = war tortoise turtle
Blastoise = blast tortoise
Drifloon = drift balloon
Some examples off the top of my head ^~^
