The leader and the other cos don't get points
Faye and Lupe never got points to begin with, but once you and poochy became the co co and vice, your points had gotten taken off because you're a part of the leaderboard

He actually never signed up so I guess he wouldn't be able to enter anyway.

The leaderboard actually doesn't get berry points
Once you're in the leaderboard you don't get any but are still up for the items in the shop and able to evolve ^^
