I, too, am content with Game Freak taking their time with this one. While I'm still enjoying the heck out of "Scarlet" (I'm playing the DLC currently), I do realize that it has its flaws.
I don't know which version I'm going to pick. I'm going to need more information. The version mascot may decide it. If not that, the version exclusives. A friend of mine had a hypothesis that "Winds" would have a Flying mascot while "Waves" would have a Water mascot. I think she's onto something there.
As for the partner Pokemon, I'm totally going to pick Pombon. I think it's going to evolve into one of those lion-dog things. But this is obviously speculation. I'm not going to be digging for leaks; I'll take the news as it comes.
