I'm not great at wallpapers- so I don't suggest using my idea. But I'd do a rather themed wallpaper. Like look at a major background theme thats in the anime/manga and try to use the same colours; or basic lines. Like if its based in a city use some city objects in a fun way; or if its in a ocean use like fish creativly. Or something along those lines.

Like a city eh? Do little buildings that you could have floating around their feet. A gaint feeling with it. And add some good colours that match well with the scan and the theme thingy I mentioned. Some fancy effects that make them pop and such.

Thats my idea but mt brain is quite limited.
