Another Challenge

Airi and I continued our trip through the temple. The further we got, the darker it became. "Are those glowing stones?", Airi asked as she pointed to the ceiling to show thousands of glowing red dots. I jumped back and crouched down. "Airi, get down. Those aren't stones their bats.", I said as she nodded and croached down. "We don't want to alert attention.", I said as we continued down slowly. Soon we got to a large room, with a stair case leading up...only problem was that it was on the other side of a narrow stone walkway the was floating over an abyss. I nodded to Airi and I began to head across. Airi followed me when I reached the halfway point. Suddenly Airi froze. "Bason? I can't move.", she stuttered as I carefully turned around to see a hand around her ankle. I pulled a knife and I pulled her away. She screamed as she flew off the edge. I slid and grabbed her arm and she kicked the hand off. I helped pull her up and we ran across the rest of the way. "What was that?!", Airi shouted. "Blood Zombies. Ancient residents of these temples.", I explained as we ran up the stairs. "We need to block the path!", Airi shouted. "No good, they're made of blood so they seep through the cracks.", I said. "So now what?", she said. "Simple. We kill the lead zombie.", I said as we opened a door at the top of the stairs and entered a vertical tunnel shaft. "Now what?", Airi said as she carefully looked down the hole.
