No Motive - ZtG

I was glad but unhappy to be brought home. Mostly due to the fact that I'd have to see my mother. I didn't talk to my father on the way home. I could tell that he wanted to hear everything about my day. He'd always been like that. He likes to listen to people's thoughts and it drives most people up the wall. It's not that bad with me. I guess I'm just used to it. I opened the door to my semi-large house. The murmur of a lively group of my mother's many friends resounded of the tall walls and high ceiling. My mother looked over at me and frowned.
"Mother." I said.
"Son." She said.
"Ma'am."
"Boy."
"Hag..." Was muttered under my breath. Our guests turned and gossiped amungst eachother. About me, likely. You never can tell with women. Have you ever realised that women never talk about random things? Only stuff that or their friends like. You'll never hear them talk about the mechanics of the parts of a mouse, now will you?
I skipped the rest of whatever nonsense could of happened and ran upstairs. My room was put in the back of the house, connecting to a den that was aaaalllll mmmmiiiinnnneee! I am free to run and jump and think and if anyone comes up here un-neededly, I curse at them and give them hell (hey, don't judge me!). I threw my backpack down and got to work on the homework that we had gotten. But I wasn't able to focus.
I had a gut feeling like something was not right, like something was ringing in my ears and I don't know what it is. Is it music? Is someone yelling for me? NO clue. I lay on my bed and fell asleep.
