My house is like that too! It creaks! And I don't have a bedroom door (it got burnt down XD) so I can see into the rest of the house.
Once I saw this flashing blue light coming from the bathroom, and I was so scared! I almost fainted, even though I was half asleep. XD
In the morning, it turned out the light was my electric toothbrush that was low on battery power. :DDD
