How Much....?
Technically a music blog but no general music option =p
It's been mentioned to me by several people recently that I'm obsessed with the Toadies...I've enjoyed their music for a long time but it's only recently....in the past year or so that I've been able to afford to attend their concerts, before I was usually broke when they came to town or selling blood for anime...not literally of course. Then after most of my CD collection was stolen and I finally went over what should have been there I ended up spending another chunk of change there. Just now I'm listening to their latest album No Deliverance on ITunes and this is the third variation of this album I've purchased....damn you ITunes album only exclusive tracks. I'm not regretting this decision but it has led me to wonder.
How much would you spend on a band?
...let's open up the field a bit more than just with bands, how about an actor/actress, a director, writer, artist, studio/company *i.e. Gonzo, Studio DEEN, Rockstar, Harmonix, Square*
Once I started crunching the numbers I was surprised to find in the past twelve months alone I've spent over $800 on the Toadies. Although that's mostly concert tickets and fuel for traveling to two shows. I won't go in to detail on what all I've bought of theirs but yeah...I'd still spend more on them, they are literally in my top 10 bands which of them all Toadies is the band I have spent the most.
The Long Grift
The title and part of the following poem....thing are a bit inspired from the song "The Long Grift" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, although it's more about things that have happened in the past month or so.
Is it wrong that I am smiling at her pain? That I'm glad you are making her feel the same? That all the tricks and games weren't just used on me? I thought for a moment I could finally be with you then you moved on to her before I could...before I could believe that we were even together at one point in time. Seeing you with her hurt, feeling the bottle in my hands relieved the pain for a moment. Hearing her sweet words to you opened up old lacerations, the liquor cleansed the wounds in my heart. Losing sight of you drove me insane, by now you've probably forgotten all about us. Yet I could still see her, hear her. She started to show concern for you...much like how I did, she started to curse you and my twisted heart smiled. The list of women you've loved was long, I knew this from the start but never would I think you'd leave someone you had worked on for so long, especially not for her but now I see I was not the last although I was never the first. I was just another fool you played in your "long grift."
Sexy Sai is Sexy
First big problem I have with VV....you can only upload one fanwork within a 24-hr period. I mean sure it would be one thing if it was you must wait at period between 1-3 days before uploading like before but when your e-card is instantly accepted but then you can't upload you next one or perhaps even a fanart of a different medium....grrr. So in related news, new e-card
Went into the hospital for observation today and it's still not certain what is wrong with me exactly but the doctor is trying to do all he can before dismissing it as another everyday thing....which there is no way three+ weeks of pain can be normal.
Did something kinda bad in ordering some stuff online when I really should be saving up for A-Kon but there were some really good deals The....2nd? Death Note Game for the DS was only $18 total until yesterday sooooo glad I ordered it when it was still on sale. I also ordered a Light and L Nendoroid figures from EBay and while I usually wouldn't go back to EBay for things like this it is a steal of a deal for $30 for both of these whom won't be re-released until April....not to mention how hard it is to find sales on L anymore.

So yay Version Vibrant is now here 
Kinda sad I can't bring all the fun stuff from MyO over to this world but hey once I figure out some things this may be an even cooler world.
If you are familiar with me on MyO you may notice a bit of a change in themes between here and there. Here I'm trying to do a Tactics theme....since that has been on my obsession list for a while and I just got in the box set yesterday XD
Let's go on to regular posting business:
Still sick...gah when will it end~! I'm supposed to be going up to Austin on Monday and Tuesday to look at apartments but if things are still going like they are then I won't be able to go which means I won't be able to move up there with my friend and her mom which also means that they might have to end up staying here in Corpus not a bad thing it's just I don't want to be resented for this especially since I only won't be able to make it up there since I'm currently still sick. As it is I'm still a bit if-y on moving up there I mean yes I do need a change of scenery and to get away from my family but I also just want to stay in Corpus since....and it's sad to say but everything I know is here....and I don't like to be that far away from the water.
In other news....did I mention my Tactics box set FINALLLY came in X3 It's so sexy although I would have changed the glossy parts of the artbox to be the matted parts. Seriously it makes it feel weird that it is glossy on the text parts yet matted on the art parts, if it would have been reversed it would feel better yet still have that weird texture to it. Also last Friday I got in Death Note: Another Novel The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases. If you are already a Death Note fan you should have already heard of it and probably already read it but in case you haven't yet YOU NEED TO PICK THIS UP. Beyond Birthday is awesome and there are funny little things that Nisioisin used from the manga/anime that Ohba and Obata put in as an afterthought why L does Capoeria.
Let's wrap this up since it's already gone on for too long for a first post....
LAS (Last Anime Seen): Rosario + Vampire....what do you do when you are the only human in a school for demons? Start up a harem of super hot demon chicks what else? Seriously though from ep 1 it'll have you hooked if you like demons, vampires, main character abuse, panty shots and/or some romantic cuteness.
