Are the requirements to get trophies the same for each one? Or is it easier to get trophies in things like fan words and more difficult in fan arts and such?

I agree with Sesshy on this one, it's kinda weird.
So, it's going to be quantity over quality? As in, it doesn't matter how "bad" stuff is (let's say it's the bottom necessary to get past the submission step), it's going to count anyway?
But hey, I don't mind having trophies in my portfolio ^_^ One more thing to motivate me to make more fan comics in the future.

It's a really nice feature, but I'm kind of worried about people spamming comments & cards, since these two are probably the easiest to attain.... Still, it does give us something to strive for other then new statuses.

I'm going to take a moment to address the concerns regarding spamming.

The thing is... spamming isn't really an issue or rather it's something that is easily corrected. For starters, any new member has to go through the approval process and with the limitations on how much one can submit in a day... It's simply not possible for them to spam beyond their daily quota.

Also, if someone who has auto approval abuses that privilege (by tossing up barely drawn stuff to raise their numbers), it can and will be revoked. So the system is already set up to cut back on what could be considered spamming to reach a higher number/quota.

The same goes for comments. If anyone were to run around posting tons of junk comments. We have the ability to simply delete all of their comments for abusing the system in that manner.

So honestly, you all have nothing to worry about. ^_~ You're certainly welcome to keep an eye out and report stuff that slips through the cracks though.

To me the blank trophies are negligible. I don't see it so much as "lol you can't do this", but more an indicator of what a person's interests are. If you have blank slots, you don't draw. That's it.

Heck, hun, I only have two filled slots. =P

Remember that spamming requires approval for most submissions. Comments are their own category, but everything else will probably be filtered. And auto-approval can be lost if a member is caught spamming submissions, as I understand it.

I love the idea. I share a similar concern that some people might take advantage and spam it up for points, but hopefully people will prove more mature than that. I really like the trophies.

I have a silver for comments and gold for fanart, which is surprising considering that I very rarely update...

Even if they look pretty, these things won't motivate me to do more, honestly speaking. I don't have a lot of time in my hands. And even if I do have time, I will not take part in this race, because in no way would I ever trade quantity with quality. Some people have already mentioned this in their comments. In my opinion, these things would only undermine the value of true hard work. I will continue to put in my heart and soul into every pic I work on, regardless of how long it takes.

Competing to see who gets the best-looking trophy case first would only promote spamming.

I think it should be quality AND quantity.
There might be too much spam.

Oh... I like this. Now I can strive for trophies here as well as on the PSN, though they're for different things.

Still, it is a nice feature, Adam. Never thought my 11 fanwords were enough to give me a ruby trophy. I don't think I'll ever achieve the full ruby trophy case; heck, I don't think I'll even get a ruby trophy in the other sections, except for Comments.

Woo! I've got 2 rubies! I don't believe I'll have an all-ruby case, though. My comics are rare, and my cards are practically nonexistant.

OMG, I started freaking out thinking "trophies?!". Adam, you and your staff once again demonstrate your awesomeness. Thank you for this new feature!

Well, I have a gold and some bronze so far! Sounds like a fun addition, and incorporates a bit of friendly competition between members. :D

I have a gold in comments. Silvers in Cards and Fanart. I really want to get a Ruby someday. It's a nice addition and something fun to indulge in for a while.

Brillient idea that is for sure! My question is what is considered a certain amount for areas such as worlds and quizes. Also is there a way to determine how many comments we have posted? Either way this new idea is great!!! :D

...I really don't like this. I'm not an artist, never have been. There are days I wish and pray that I could draw, but I can't and I'm 18 and that's not changing.

So... I'll meet you half way. How about there are no blank trophies? Could you possibly just have it so what you've earned is in your portfolio and not... a reminder that you're not talented in certain fields that you wish you were?
