I have to agree with simplebeast, and he (or she!) couldn't have said it better. I love contributing to the community here on theO, but I don't draw. I can't. Writing is what I do best, and I enjoyed putting what I can do out there for other people to read. Now that the fanwords page is gone, I can't do that as well. Granted, there are a few people, subscribers I had before the page disappeared, who still keep up with my writing, but it's a little disheartening to know that most of the community won't be able to see things that I publish FOR the community. And I'm sure I'm not the only writer who feels this way.

Well, that's just my humble opinion on this matter. Other than that, the new layout is great.

where can you find them anymore? I wanted to c if there was any new fan word challenges and i didn't c em I'm sure that I'm just missin them.

Adam, is there any possiblity that when we have a challenge in process we can have it on our profile page? That way we can update it and tell people about it, or is there way to send messages to the people who 'like' the challenge so we can send them reminders about deadlines? I really would like to see both features if added on please and thank you!

Another major problem, you can no longer fav fan word Challenges. You get a command prompt screen when you try.

Thanks for the upgrade, Bossman and Co! I just noticed that there's a little bug, though. In the main pages, the Challenges that are "almost done" are actually the ones latest to expire. You might want to fix that. Otherwise, the new pages look great!

I know this hasn't been mentioned as of late, but my one qualm is with the now non-existent Fan-Words. I enjoyed the times my submissioned got chosen and various people were reading it.

So, where that will go, if anywhere, is something I'd like to know.

I have a minor to major problem, since the fan works section was taken away, I have no reason to get on theOtaku. Now I know since there haven't been any people that have fit to your standard for works (whatever that is) you might consider it a dead page. I respectfully disagree with any ideal that writing cannot be considered a equally aesthetic art form than painting or computer based art. The arrangements of words and meanings in a sentence requires skill, precision, and a imagination, the same material required of any art form. If you would like more people to write quality material find a way to appeal to said people. Right now, greatest appeal anyone has is to break the general lock on the main works page that a general lack of caring on someones part has created. I do believe that it has been said that only the top %1 of all posts recieved will be put up on the main page. I would love to know that such a thing will really happen.

Sorry for the fire, you would get the same from others if you took down the art page.
