In order to boost the comment count, maybe a mini-contest could be held? The person with the most comments gets a wallpaper request from so-and-so. I'd be willing to contribute to the prizes, if need be.
At least we weren't forced to wear the cone-of-shame again...
also we DO NOT "pump" "polutents" into the atmosphere. some of the byproducts of them do. the only thing these "polutents" do is make the ozone "hole" bigger for a short time, but it does NOT destory it.
look, i can see that you are just another person who won't listen to reason. if you would just look at the unbiased facts (not slanted, you CANNOT get your imformation from the media, it is slanted) i sware that you will find what i have been telling you, i chalange you to do so. Yes we should be responsible, but the media is hyping it up like crazy, only a fool does not take what the media says with 20 grains of salt.
I can only assume you're getting your "facts" from slanted sources. You should do some honest research into pollution and the environment. Nature can only tolerate so much before it's no longer able to bounce back. If we continue to plow ahead regardless, we will do horrible damage that will affect us for generations. We are part of nature, and we have the ability to preserve or destroy it, so we need to be responsible.
And actually, the Earth's climate has fluctuated quite a lot over millions of years. This is a natural form of climate change. But as we pump pollutants into the air and water, we could upset the natural flow and change it in unpredictable ways.
yes, we should reduse our using of thing of that nature.... BUT if you look at the unbiased facts, we are NOT overpolulated (this is a GROSS error, because this thinking lead to abortions, which is basically MURDER) and if you look at the facts, "globel warming" is a GROSS misconsepshion. the earth's temperature has NOT changed in all of it's history! But water polution is a bit of a problem today.
Ichigo, we have exactly the same reason why we use plastic bags in our place. But it's not like we immediately throw these bags; we recycle these plastic bags for future consumption. And some of these plastic bags also claim to be "biodegradable", which I'm not really sure what it really means.
EDIT: I also noticed one store here that bans the use of both plastic and paper bags during Wednesdays, preferring the reusable cloth bags instead.

Actually, all pollution should be a serious concern. The planet is already overpopulated and that has no sign of ending, and a lot of the things we throw away will take an extremely long time to degrade, if ever. Land, water, air... It's all bad.
personally, i think plastic bags are very nice. This "save the envernment" notion is so absurd. The only type of polution that is actully a problem nowadays is water polution.

Speaking of grocery bags, they've been reporting here that certain reusable bags (you know the kind, to keep us from drowning the world in plastic bags) have some lead in them. This isn't harmful to people (unless it finds some way to leech out), but it could be bad for the environment when you finally have to get rid of them. So much for trying to go green. Way to go, people.
Of course, the Watercooler was originally intended to be a place where people could go crazy with podcast commenting, but that failed to happen.
I prefer plastic bags; I reuse them all the time for garbage can liners. The only thing I ever reused paper bags for was to cover my textbooks in high school and draw Garfield and stuff on them.
Question, Ichigo: Do you mind that Kugimiya Rie's gonna have a large voice part in the movie (as Al) as long as she's not playing a lousy little tsundere bimbo?
Am very happy to have finally placed in the caption battle again!
Okay, so we need to get this started. What does that mean? It means I should probably write my term paper for, you guessed it, Japanese art history, before I get too involved in these crazy shenanigans.
Ichigo, it must be a slow week if you read the Rewind choices. Haha...ha...Ohh, keepin' it classy, Watercooler.
