Now it won't show up that I have a new message. When it should say 1 new message, it says 0 new messages. I'll click to my inbox, and there's the new message which could have been sent who knows how long ago.

On my account, it says that I have 1 new message, but when I go to check, there's no new ones. I tried deleting everything, but the notification has stayed for about a week now.

There's a bug with eCards, has been for years, and I don't know if it hasn't been fixed because it isn't fixable or because no one has told anyone here. It seems that popularity of eCards has nothing to do with what shows up in the "Top 8". We, fellow eCard artists and I, put this to the test and figured out that it's all about timing. It's just sort of annoying. If you can fix that that would be great. To give everyone a chance to be in the top, you know?

Sorry for posting so many times in a row. I found some new bugs.

It seems that when I'm editing a comment and I press the backspace key multiple times, the comment box jumps to the bottom right corner of the page and I can't seem to move it back. Shrinking the size of the browser window seems to fix it, but it's still a pain every time I hit the backspace key. I'm using Google Chrome.

Also, you know how you said that the limit to submitting Fan Art is four pictures a day? That's a lie. I've seen people submitting way more than you can do even with a premium. (To my fellow users, I apologize for being such a party-pooper. I just want to play by the rules.)

I have another weird bug to report. I have two Fan Comics that I submitted. The more recent one is listed AFTER the older one. What really makes things strange is that I got 4 hugs on the old one and 10 on the new one, but my personal Fan Comics page says I have 6 hugs total. So instead of adding hugs, it's SUBTRACTING them. Could this and the fact that my comics are listed out-of-order be related?

Edit: I think I submitted the more recent comic through my Backroom. Could that be part of the problem, too?

Here's a crazy one. I have recently switched to Google Chrome. Since then, the fonts on theO's pages have been shrinking and compressing. This is somewhat bothersome because the text is kind of hard to read.

Please ignore! It was a problem with Chrome, not the site.

Whenever I try to submit my quiz, it doesn't work. First, I got up to page 4 just fine, but then it redirected me back to page 1 (so I lost all my work without saving). Next time around, I tried again and couldn't even get past page 1, so there is no way I can submit my quiz. Is there any way to fix this?

There seems to be a glitch regarding submissions. When I tried submitting my most recent fan art a few days ago, I got an error saying the image had to be in JPG, and wouldn't accept the PNG image.

i tried uploading some more artwork but i'm getting an error message saying that this site doesn't support png images anymore, only jpeg. whats the problem?

how come some of the fanart isn't working? i've tried refreshing the page but nothing comes up. most of the artwork has been deleted too, is this a glitch?

Some of my newer pieces of artwork aren't appearing unless you download them in high resolution, as well as art from other members. I've tried refreshing the page and logging on to other computers. A few people have told me they can't see the art either. The next day the artwork is deleted! Is this some sort of bug?

I keep tying to add a quiz, but it will not let me submit it. It keeps sending me back to the first page. Help PLEASE.

Hello there! I got problem viewing my Favorites, (e-card) I collected almost a hundred but everytime I'll click the "browse", it shows me the Fancomics I fav which is 22.
I can no longer see now those ecards I faved. What could be the problem?

I've edited/updated several of my old drawings that were photographed to scanned versions that are of much better quality, but the thumbnails for those drawings do not update, even though the actual drawing does when you click on it.

I've also had the same problem as reirei with the comment boxes being repeated/getting lost underneath the picture/wallpaper when moved. I hope you can fix this >.< Thank you!

I noticed that my portfolio's eCards section is full of tiny, empty thumbnails. In fact, my Cards' thumbs all look like that anywhere, at least from my side lol. It's not a huge error, just a bit strange and I thought I ought to report it.

If you click on the thunbs/link, you can still see the full-sized card image anyway.

I've emptied my cache, but I still get this problem. xD

There's a commenting glitch that's been happening to me, and one of my friends can no longer comment on anything. I'd click on the commenting link to open the box, but instead of the streamlined commenting box sprouting up- it'll take me to a different page that lists the comments and usernames of people who have posted in plain text- and there's no reply box when this happens.

I tried refreshing and opening and closing it, but that doesn't seem to work :/

Me an several other people are having trouble accessing the fan comics page. All the other links are working but that one is doing the same thing it did awhile back. If it would help I can send you a screen capture.

Hi, I have a problem with the comments section on my challenge! I edited a comment and now it's stuck and I can't read or reply to the new comments.
The only way to read a new one is when I click on it and the 'whole page' comments come up, but I can't reply to anyone. I tried to login on a different computer, that didn't work. Please help.

Regarding my last report, my images are STILL not showing up. It's just a little white square. I've gone through many of the galleries on here and it looks like I'm the only one having this problem. PLEASE get this resolved. Because of this, I'm losing viewers on my work. I don't want to have to leave the site for some silly little thing.

3:i cant upload anything with pictures in (comments or submissions) it just freezes the page
4: im trying to edt my guest posters and the first time i tried the big box you write in was there and the submit button vanished when i scrolled down i tried relading the page and now the big box where you wright has gone so i cant modify my guest posters
i also sometimes have problems changing my avatar picture ;[ i logged onto my friends accout (with her permission) and everything works fine, i dont want to make a new account because i really like mine :(

The Victoria's Secret ads are messing up the page, only the otaku header loads when a VS ad is on the page and you have to reload the page till you get a non victoria's secret advert, don't know if anyone else is having this problem or not!

I'm having trouble submitting art. When I hit submit I get:

Every time the page loads with an ad from TLBB: Tian Long Ba Bu, I have a hard time viewing the page since it shows signs of lagging while I scroll the page.

{Pretty sure this is a bug} Problem:
-My inbox doesn't seem to work. Like it says that I have 0 messages in my inbox and then I click on it and there's at least 1 or more in there.

-Also, I haven't had any PM's if my work has been approved or not. But it seems like it has been published already even though I haven't received anything. And the reason why I know it has been published is because my fellow friends seemed to have commented on my works.

-Plus, what I submit will also not show up on my portfolio.

Sorry to be bugging you with so many bugs, but I found something else. There are some fan art pictures that aren't showing up. Here's an example. When I click the link to view the image in high resolution, the screen displays some code instead of the image. So, there's really no way to view the image at all.

There's a Challenge that I can't seem to favorite. It's called "Prove Your Improvement" and it's in the Fan Art section. Every time I click that little heart, a new window pops up with the following code (there might be more code than this; the window extends off my screen):

I'm having the same problem as stararnold. Ever since yesterday I've been unable to see the complete dashboard; the page is a total blank. T_T

When I tried to access my dashboard's updates page today and yesterday, the page appeared to be pure white without any text or features.

I think the site is having a problem with advertising spam.

In the Official theOtaku.com World, I noticed a certain "rubikasmith" posting some spam messages about mbtflying.com in the comment sections of some of the posts in the world.

Two things:

1. I can't submit fan words. I don't see an option where I can select "submit for publication" or anything. I know it used to be there. It's just that now, when I want it, it's not there.

2. This is kind of minor, but it seems that your search function can't deal with punctuation. A page with this error message comes up instead:

A database error has occured with the following application: . Description of the error associated with the script: An error occured while executing a query. The database error occured on: Friday 09th 2010f July 2010 06:43:26 PM The url of the reported page: http://www.theotaku.com/tags/livin'

(And for some reason, the word "occurred" is missing an "r" in that error message.) *Shot.*

Today, I tried to submit an ecard, but a script error showed up, preventing the image of it from appearing, so I had to delete my ecard.

Whenever someone I subscribe to creates a Challenge, I can't view it when I click on the link in the "subscriptions" area of the Backroom (you know, the place where the text is orange). It just says "Invalid URL." This has happened to me as far back as I can remember joining the O. I can access Challenges perfectly fine from the "Challenges" pages, though.

MISSING WALLPAPER

Hello! I am not sure if I go to the right place or person to discuss about this problem.

I joined a wallpaper challenge and before it ended, I noticed that one of the 2 wallpapers I submitted is missing. I found this only April 10. It's title was "Magical Tea"; a One Piece wallie of Nami.

I don't know how and why it was happened. Now I'm scared because it might happened to me again, to my artworks.
I'm really scared that maybe 1 day I'll realize that all my artworks are gone or worst, my account is blocked.

Hey I cannot get on the chat room. It keep saying that internet cannot display webpage, were the chatroom box should be. And it also says that I'm the only one online.

I found that guest posts to a world I made don't show up in my backroom. I haven't noticed if anyone else has this problem, or if it's just my world... but I think it would be convenient if guest posts for your own world showed up in your backroom. :)

Swamped with bugs or maybe this site has been hacked too many times by on-line amature terrorists wannabes?

Is this why I can not access my World? It is a total blank and I can not do a bloody thing with it. There are no links or submission accesses, what is the point of creating a world if I cannot add anything to it?

Everywhere I go, here I come up against a wall where as there is limited or no access.

So in a nut shell, exactly what is still working and what if anything is NOT working, a news update would be greatly appreciated, instead of having to dig around for answers.

Really bizzare WTH network bug...

Me and a couple of others use TheO on a LAN network, and if two or more of us log on at the same time, our accounts sorta get "Swapped," as in I'll click into my inbox and someone elses inbox with welcome to them on it will pop up.

Uhhh, Mr Bossman, this one bug's a bit harder to detect, and there's ways around it, but it still bugged me (heh, bugged).

I'm reading a 15-page post in a friend's World.

There's something wrong on how the site handled the character ' in the URL. Yeah, it added slashes before the character ' to null it or something, but somehow, in a multi-paged World post like I linked earlier, the slashes kinda 'grew' out of control. An example :

page 5, notice the URL in the address bar, and the slashes.
page 7, it grew a bit longer, and somewhat exponentially.
page 10, even longer.
page 13, an error message about the URL being too long.

Ummm, enough info? Maybe you wanna test it yourself, in the above World and post link I provided. Well, that's all. Hope you can repair it somehow, Bossman (or whoever it is that maintained the site)!

I haven't commented on this before now, but here goes.
I favorited a wallpaper that got deleted some time ago. Whenever I head to my Favorites, the wallpaper thumbnail is still there, but whenever I click on it, it always says its deleted and there's no way of getting rid of it from my Wallpaper Favorites. T_T Please help.

Well, I'm using my friend's account right now, my problem is that I signed up for this site, and I waited for a verification E-mail, but I never got one :( I try logging into my own, but it says I need to confirm the verification E-mail.. I can't do that though -_- I don't know where else to put this. The irony is that I named the site I'm getting "A Glitched System" lmfao X__X'

OK, here's a weird one for you. It turns out that some fan art, comics, et cetera, are available to view through the Backroom before they are approved. I hadn't noticed this, so I clicked on an unapproved fan comic and read it. I faved it and commented on it. I can see the thumbnail in my Favorites page (it's called Talk to the Hand), but when I click on it, this comes up. The artist of this picture told me that if a user comments before the work is approved, the work is deleted. I commented on the re-uploaded version that I was sorry for being responsible for the deletion, but then I realized that the re-uploaded comic hadn't been approved yet, either! I bet that artist is really mad at me, right now.

So I guess there are several things that have to be fixed:

1. Keep yet-to-be-approved works from showing up in the Backroom.
2. Do something so that yet-to-be-approved works don't get deleted when someone comments on them.
3. If there is a way, fix the Favorites page so that thumbnail pictures that link to dead links are removed once the link is dead. I don't really want thumbnail pictures in my Favorites page if they don't work.

I was viewing the "Other Music" Worlds, but the site only shows me the first page. I tried to view them in alphabetical order and it only displayed A through H. I then tried every other possible way of viewing them (freshness, quality, et cetera) and different Worlds were displayed every time. Still, there was no page 2, 3, and so on. I know there has to be more than one page of "Other Music" Worlds because "Other Music" is the third most popular category for Worlds.

it's probably during when we put the wrong bbcodes then the whole comment box wont work.. i hope there's a way to fix it or improvise.. like make the codes not work *if wrong* instead of affecting the whole comment box.. >x<"

I tried submitting a quiz and after I clicked to go to the final page, it redirected me to the first page. All the work I typed was gone and there wasn't a confirmation message. I hope it got through because it takes an about an hour to make those quizzes and it really sucks when all your work just disappears like that.

People's avatars are turning into Edward avatars. I don't really want Edward as my avatar so can you guys fix it please?

Seems someone has hacked the avatar system. April fools joke? if not could you find a way to fix it. Its not like i don't like Edward but this is ridiculous

I dunno if this is just my computer, but I keep getting a message telling me that there is nothing in the gallery I'm viewing, which is impossible. I'm getting "This gallery is empty..." It's really random too. Like one page will say that, and another won't. ??

I can't submit my wallpaper! It won't let me. After I write up the description and select my files (all within the size requirements), instead of getting a "submitted" page, I am directed here:

everything in this site seemed slow.. i tried opening this using mozilla, safari, internet explorer.. but still it loaded so slow especially this comment box.. i checked if it was just my connection but no.. coz i can open other sites even download programs in seconds compared to just viewing a comment/navigating on this site which lately is taking 2-3minutes to load... any solution here..?

I recently submitted a wallapaper to TheOtaku about a month ago. When I went to a tag link and found it, a different users name was listed as it's creator.

While checking around the TV directory at theOtaku.com, it appears the Count Duckula Portal page of the site is missing my duckula e-card. Furthermore, despite me being the only to suscribe to the Count Duckula Portal, the TV directory forgot to show the number of suscribers to that portal, and ended up saying "0" instead.

So, Bossman there's this really weird thing going on. When I sign onto theO there's a thing that says --!> Sponsor Links, and then it lists things, but that's never been there since yesterday. >> It's kinda weird. I don't know what it is, and it's getting in the way of being able to read my messages. D:

I can't post my story! I wrote a story that I'm trying to post in my friend's Death Note Club world, but every time I try to post it, over half of it gets erased! I tried posting it in sections too, but when I tried to post the 2nd half, only three sentences showed up and the rest was gone! Why won't it work!? It won't show up in my own world either!

O.O For Some Reason All Of My Stuff Has Disapeared. It Also Says My Profile Is Turned Off When I Know It Isn't I Was Just Looking At My Profile A Moment Ago And Replying To Comments On My Work. Now Not Even My Avatar Is Showing On The Page. Have I Broken A Rule Or Is There Something Wrong With My Computer?

I tried to upload a wallpaper earlier, and it didn't work. I have no idea if this is because it's a .png file, or if it's something else.

Chat went down not long ago. In FireFox the embedded portion of the page is replaced with an error page:

Wallpapers are not loading at all on the submission pages even though thumbnails are showing in portfolios and such. Also a "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable" error is returned when attempting to use the "share" links to access images directly.

Windows XP Home Edition, current browser is FireFox 2.0

I was an otaku for about a year or so and was still a member when the transition was made to Vibrant. I have had to get this new account recently and have been experiencing a few problems that weren't there before. I used to not be able to use myOtaku then it kind of fixed itself but even though I can get on myO page it won't let me turn it on so I can actually type text in it. Everytime I try to turn it on it goes right back to being off. I have Windows Internet Explorer and Windows XP if that helps at all. If this could be fixed soon I would appreciate it very much! ^^

I know this post is old, but! I've found some buggies that need a squashin'.

I made a new account because someone deleted my old one. They hacked into it, and deleted it. But anyway, I can't turn my profile on for my myO site. Which makes me sad, because I love MyO, and I love all the customations I can make on that site.

Also, it's not showing me when someone comments, or when I have new messages. ._.

But yeah.. I don't know if you still read these comments or not. It would be nice if you could fix it though, or help or something. Please and thank you!

i've noticed a few problems with the fan comics section. say i messed up on a comic page and i want to fix it. i go to the "edit" section of that page and re-upload the image after fixing it. after re-submitting it, i check on the comic and i notice the edited page is now the cover, and the actual page didn't get fixed. i know i didn't re-upload the image to the cover, so i'm guessing it's a bug. it's very frustrating since i'm not able to fix a page i messed up on and i have to keep re-uploading the cover page to turn it back to normal.
another problem i noticed is that you can't view any comic pages other than the cover in high-resolution, which makes some comics hard to read if there's small typing.
do you guys think that they can be fixed? it'd be a big help. :3

Hello. I've had a fairly easy time with my world and I have some subscribers. But when I try to subscride to people it just says I'm not logged on even if I already was or bad server response. There are two awesome people I'd like to subscribe too so I was hoping you could help me with that. Thanks for your time.

What the hell is going on? My wallpaper profile count and the official count were wrong but now ALL the wallpapers I've made this month have shifted around and even though its supposed to be listed by freshness its not. Wallpaper I made the 5th are up front while ones I made yesterday are now behind all of those. The whole thing is now out of order and not listed as it should be!

Is there a limit to the number of breaks or words you can have in fan words? If so I think I might have hit it, if not, there is something wonky going on with one of mine.

I added a new chapter with a break and it added the text without a break and ending with a little question mark graphic in mid-sentence. Help?

I've been finding lately that I cannot get to my profile by any method I've tried. I can still see certain parts of my profile, like the fanart section or fanmanga section if I type in a tag in the search box, but the whole profile itself will not show. This has been going on for a while, now. I thought maybe it was just a temporary problem because I was able to get to it when Version Vibrant first launched, but it has not changed. A friend of mine also said she cannot get to my profile either. I would very much like that to be fixed, if possible.

In my backroom it tells you how many new comments you have. Well it said that I had a new comment and it was under portfolio, well you can't click on the portfolio link and when you click to read the comment you get A database error has occured with the following application: . Just now encountered that little bug that tells me I have to log in (when I'm already logged in) in order to subscribe to someone and leave a comment in the guest book, and I tried logging in again and it didn't do anything, and when I tried adding them again I got 'Bad server response'.

People try to suscribe me and it does not work which ends up logging them out. When I try to post pictures nothing comes up either.

For a while now every time I make a wallpaper any size other than 1024x768 and submit it this stupid site will not allow any other size period! I really really wish you would fix this! I hate making larger ones and being unable to submit it! Every time I try you get the error message below and the picture doesn't show up!

Fail to open, or open incorrectly (blank white boxes, comment box off-center of page [haven't been able to duplicate that for capture yet]).
* Long strings that do open have rendering issues (examples taken from the comment string for This picture).

Portfolio/Guestbook:

Page specific "sign-out" (the little box on the right hand side of the page says to "register or log-in" rather than showing the welcome message).
* Affects certain, but not all members portfolios (This list is links to actual portfolio pages, not to captures, and these ones are affected by the bug, I did test others which do not have the issue).

It's not just you XxKirakishouxX I tried to submit one that size too and it said the same thing and the thumbnail wasn't there and any text you submit if you hit enter twice and add a space between lines it doesn't stay that way it all gets jumbled together in a big mess!

Bit of a bug in the "Block User" feature. According to the description: he members you list below cannot visit your site, PM you, or comment on any of your pieces.

I tested this out with someone, and it works up to a point. As I understand it, access to Worlds are supposed to be prohibited to blocked users (the bold-face text), however, blocked users can access Worlds. I was the "blockee" in the tests, so I know first-hand what I was and was not able to do. Comments and Private messages are prevented as they should be.

The "Matrix" drawing I submitted here minutes ago isn't in my portfolio page of fan art publications.

Here's a question. How can someone who's "not a member" post content that attracts enough attention to get into the featured slots on the main page?

If there's no easy answer for that, then you have a major bug on your hands with some member portfolios, for example:

This web comic is on the main TheO page in the featured fan comics section (as of 4:25pm EDT) However, attempting to view the artist's portfolio returns a "member doesn't exist" error page (Like This and This).

Not a bug report, but a feature request. I'd like to be able to report inappropriate comments (see the comments here for examples.

The last several comments I've had on a wallpaper are not showing up in the backroom section marked for comments

The search engine doesn't work. When I type a series name example Ragnarok I come across a user with that name but nothing on that series, but when I type in a username example Midori Sakura, or any username. I know they have cards and wallpapers but when using the search engine it comes up blank as if they have never posted anything.

I tried to insert polls I created at polldaddy to my world "Anime Poll Territory", and only the question part of it appeared in the post.

One of the messaging links is busted.

When in a PM message, clicking the "messaging" link in the little blue bar at the top of the page where is says backroom > messaging ) takes you to the main theotaku.com page, not the PM inbox like it's supposed to. Thing is the link says you're in theotaku.com/backroom/messaging even though it's showing the main theota.com page.

Never mind, I fixed it myself.

Using the "shorten post to new page" renders a blank page when clicking the "view full post" link at the bottom of the abbreviated post. Content shows up in the "shortened" post on the main World page.

All coding is proper TheOtaku coding, no HTML, all caps, BB style tags throughout, and I can access the post in the "Modify Posts" area in it's entirety.

I'm still unable to upload any avatars in PNG format, and it still gives me the error message that avatars must be in JPG, GIF, or PNG formats.

Today, when I tried clicking on the Books/comics link (http://www.theotaku.com/category/books/) on the theotaku homepage to see all the works submitted to the category itself so far (including mine, which can be found in my portfolio page by me and other otakus here), I keep seeing that annoying sign "Sorry, this category does not exist in our network. Why not try it as a tag?"

e-cards favorite function still not responding.

Favorite feature is down, again. Same as last time "Bad Server Response" error message, this time it was on e-cards, not sure if it affects others.

I went temporarily insane and for some reason submitted a wallpaper in .png format. It gave me a wierd error page, so I resubmitted in .jpg. The "You can only submit once in 24 hours message" popped up, but when I went to My Portfolio it showed 2 copies of of the submission, except one was all black. When I tried deleting it, (8 times, now) it wouldn't go away.

Strangely, that black screen has more comments than most of my other works.

My current problem is that when I try to suscribe to more anime categories as well as adding hugs/favs to some wallpapers, I get the response "Bad server response".

Repeating the bug report below, Favorite feature seems to be broken.

It seems that all my submissions from before V.V. was launched has the views and hugs switched around.

Ex: 396 views and 935 hugs.

I told my friend about not being able to edit my wallpaper captions but then she said she just now did it and it worked fine including going back and editing again. I went and tried to edit one and add caption to another but it remains empty and never updates! No matter what I do it won't add a caption to my walls!

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but when I change the aligning of posts (center, right), it will revert back to the default aligning (left) if I put a space between the lines.

So if I center this line and put a space like this:

it will push back to the left in this second line, even if it's still in the center tag.

Not so much a bug as it is a request, but having an in-depth feature overview to explain the subtle nuances of things here would be very much appreciated. Why do I ask for such a thing? Well, I mentioned having issues with tags on Worlds earlier in the comment thread here, turns out it wasn't a bug, I'm just an idiot who assumed the obvious and thought there was a problem when there wasn't. I thought the tags for World posts would be visible as links in the bar at the bottom of the post along with the date, comment link etc, I just discovered that those don't show up till a person clicks the double arrow next to the word "tags". Would have been nice to know that from the start, it would have saved time and energy from not having to chase down an erroneous bug report.

As far as I've seen, the worlds still function, but navigation between them is very difficult without portfolios available. Everything else seems to be down.

Bug Found... I posted a Fan Fic in my World yesterday 4 different times because it would not show in the world and every time I would delete it and re add it it still would not show it. I have went threw it every time looking for Booboos to see if that maybe causing it in the coding with being use to HTML and now moving to BB and there is nothing to stop it from posting... It looks clean and ready to go but the World will not show but a peice of the starting post once you click 'Read full post' there is nothing there to see...

Tags are not working in Worlds.

Okay, I was wrong. There are some bugs. Sometimes, it won't let me comment. This might just be a complaint, but I agree with Onee-chan (Angel Zakuro), I have to minimize the comment box when reading a post, because like others, I read posts one paragraph at a time. Also, why are some manga pages squished, not fan art, fan manga, almost all the pages I see in most manga have squished pages, I don't really understand the deal with that. And I do miss html, I thought Worlds wouls at least let you use IMG because if you use BBcode, then IMG is aslo acceptable, but it doesn't wotk, many people have tried. And I find it very difficult to find my friends, I have to check through their submitted works to be able to find them.

Sorry, this was longer than I thought, I didn't report much bugs, because a lot of people have said what I've been wanting to say, I just made a short complaint, I am thought now, but you're doing a great job!

Nevermind, it's showing up now after a restart.

Yet another issue has cropped up: I'm unable to change the design of my world "The Watercooler". I want to change the back ground, but no matter how many times I try to upload a new background, it ignores what I'm telling it to do and the old background remains.

Just now I was trying to submit an e-card, but I got a message saying it was not within the size requirements, 350x350. The dimensions of my card are 350x305.

I made it a bit smaller, 335x292, and again I received the message saying it wasn't within size requirements.

And I'm still unable to upload avatars in PNG, even though supposedly the format is now allowable.

Tried to insert a new drawing to this site today after my last one (inserted at 4:00 PM yesterday), but then came that dumb sign "oops! Sorry, you can only submitt one drawing per the 24-hour period" (well, something like that).

I'm sorry to bother u when ur busy, but, erm, im not sure if this was mentioned, but the pages in my manga are very hard to read because it has been streched out to the size of the front cover for some reason. I really hope that you can fix it since I can't read a word I wroteT_T I hope that you'll be able to squish all the bugs soon ^^; take care!

well i was going to read through all 3oo- something comments to see if anyone else has noticed this, but it seems that whenever I search for members in the search window, at the upper right hand corner of the screen, it lists fanart fan words, cards, wallpapers etc to be empty. which really scared me at first, but when i went to myO and linked to theO, through member portfolios, it showed the same pages as before but their works were all there. So the problem is that if you search for members, rather than look in their portfolios through myO, their portfolios are empty.

Not to be a bother, but that transparency issue I reported before appears to be a MAJOR rendering issue in FireFox. I'm seeing it occur on any World that uses the sunset theme and had an image embedded, either in the intro, or in posts. Not only are images transparent, but so is the text. I'm compiling the screen captures I made testing the same pages in both IE6 and FireFox 2.0 now, and there is a remarkable and noticeable visual difference. There are too many URLs to list here, anyone with embedded images and the sunset theme appears to be affected by this issue.

Sorry to add one more bug to the pile ^^" When I submitted a wallpaper I noticed the fact that more links to the 1280 x 960 resolution appear: "Wish you were here". I submitted the following resolutions: 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 1024 and 1920 x 1200.

UPDATE: I checked and the submit tab is now right there where it should be on my home computer as well. I was able to successfully submit the piece I had been trying to for the past few days. =)

I was also able to create my world. It took awhile, trying different variations but eventually it accepted a url(and it turned out to be a painfully simple one, too - I [i]would[/i] try that for last, haha). I wouldn't have thought some of the ones I tried before, even with as many members as theO has, would have been people's user names, haha.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for the help though, Adam. I do love Version Vibrant though bugs or no bugs, it's very refreshing compared to the the old site. =D

Okay here's an interesting bug: On one of my worlds, the uploaded image is not solid. It's transparent so that the "Sunset" color scheme is visible behind the image which is both detracting and annoying as I have no desire to have my images transparent. It only seems to occur in Firefox (I'm using 2.0), I checked it out in IE 6 and it doesn't seem to be happening there.

Since we have favorites can we change hugs back into how many people downloaded? I personally like to see how many people like my wallpapers and cards enough to download/send. Personally I see no difference between hugs and favorites.

Also as much as I love the new comments section to show what comments people made on my wallpapers can you at least show a link to those wallpapers as I have a lot of wallpapers and I'd like to see which ones their referring to without going through them all. Can you also make it where its optional as to whether or not the views counter counts your vists. Also make the comments count the cards too and again link to said card so you know which one their talking about. Could you also maybe just make the comments section like click here for wallpaper comments and here for cards?

You really need to make a FAQs file or at least a tutorial to guide us through the new stuff, as I'm confused on a lot of the new things. Plus you didn't think this new layout thing through much by deleting things that were important. Example when are the guest books returning? Though the friends file doesn't matter a lot to me it'd be nice to have when I want to send my friend a pm I can look her up in the friends section and not have to hunt her down.

Any hope that you will soon go back to giving senior otaku's back their freedom? I hate that I once again have to have approval to upload or edit my wallpapers or cards, though I love the idea that I can update it now without taking it down and doing it again. And any time line of when the new one wallpaper per 24 hours rule will end?

It's strange, I'm on my boyfriend's computer right now and I have the tab to submit. When I was at home and at school it was nowhere to be seen. O.o I'm thinking it might just be my computer. I'll check when I get home, and try a few other things - could just be my browser acting goofy again.

I'll point out that these are across theotaku.com and all the sites and hubs that have the navigation menu pictured. The backroom isn't affected cause it has a different navigation menu.

Hmmm, I think I have a bug or perhaps I simply set something up incorrectly in my back room. But the date for when a comment was posted seems to be wrong. Take right now. It's telling me that the date I posted a comment is the 9th and yet for me it's not even 6pm on the 8th.

So is that a glitch? Or did I miss something when I set things up? Oh and thank you for fixing the comment box, I was hating how tiny the reply spot was. Seriously. :p

I as well am getting the four consecutive comments error, regardless of that I hadn't made a comment in days.

Along with my earlier comment about that I can't submit anything (I don't even have the option anywhere to do so), I recently discovered I cannot create worlds either. I get the error telling me that the URL already exists, even though that it does not. I tried it with multiple URLs and I still get that error. This is on both Firefox 2.0 and trying it on IE7.

When you go to the search engine and click on search for that user that user comes up but even though you know they have wallpaper and cards it registers that they don't even when you click on either wallpapers or cards it still says its empty. Its fine if you type in the name for their portfolio in the address bar but not when you want to look them up.

i have the same prob as MissGoldenAngel.. since i'v upgraded my fan manga... it suddenly disappeared in my portfolio....

i edited my cover yesterday and my manga disappeared off the list and my portfolio says i don't have any comics. it's there when i click on it, though. :/

OK, here's a new issue.

I've been trying to change my avatar. The one I want IS the specified 100x100 size and IS in PNG format. But every time I try to upload it, I get an error saying "Your avatar must be in GIF, JPG or PNG format."

I'm not sure if this would be considered a bug or if it was intentional but style tags (for using bold, italics, etc.) have to be typed in caps to work. Typing [b]bold[/b] doesn't work, as you can see, without using capital B's. But pretty much all forum software everywhere that uses the same type of tags allow them in either lower case or capitals, and as someone who's used to typing out tags manually rather than using the buttons to insert them, having to type them in caps is highly annoying. It would be much appreciated, and I think it would avoid a lot of confusion with other people who are used to typing them out, if the tags also worked in lower case.

I have noticed that the Views on the Wallies *not sure about others* but the Views are counting Views and Downloads so if one person views and then downloads it counts as two not one. Not sure if you wanted it that way or what but thought I would let you know...

In the wallies since I have noticed the bug (if it is a bug) it is false for downloads I do not think it is fair to think that you have more downloads then what you really have. If someone Views it, it should be a View not count as a Download. The Hugs are a cute feature for a kudos thing, but I thought that was what the Favorites was for, if the like it that much they Fav it not hug it... The reason I think it is not fair to have the View and Download together is because it is counting the person that made the wallie as well if they go in there. I have been checking the comments on some of my wallies because the comment warning in my backroom is not working and telling me when I get new comments on them. I have to go to the list and look for new comments the new comments area is not working for me. I did get a reply comment count today, but so far that is all I have seen pop up on there.

Just letting you know about the bug and how I feel about this...

It looks like images get lost once world posts are approved for publication as "Fan Words", not sure if that was always the intention or not.

A lot of times when I have link issues in the backroom (the ones I brought up before for example), it's just my browser being lazy as I'm finding out.

This isn't so much a "bug" as it is an annoyance, but in wallpapers, the filter options leave us low resolution monitor users out in the cold. Choices to sort by 1024x768 (my current resolution) and 800x600 are not in the size dropdown.

Not really needed in this case, but I want to get into the habit of doing it anyway.

On the Messaging page in the backroom, nothing beyond page 1 is accessable (I get the server timed out error page in FireFox). I'm also noticing that there's no easy way to send PM message to anyone here, there's no "send PM" link in the portfolio or anywhere associated with members.

I'm not exactly sure if the bad links I ran into were just my browser being lazy or if they're actually in the backroom somewhere, I'll try to locate them again to be sure before I report them as a bug.

when i tried to view an fanart, there was this.. white/blank screen with a bunch of writing on.

my wallpaper disappeared from list of recent wallpapers and i submit it about only an hour ago O_o could it be thats why there's so many wallpapers repeated?

i cant see my other fan manga in my portfolio... i only see it when i click view all..

It's not a bug...just kind of a "complaint" maybe? But um, the comment box...you can't minimize it or move it out of the way to see the posts. My short-term memory fails, and I can't remember what people post about so I liked having the box minimized or to the side while reading and then commenting as I went along in a post. ^^; I guess you couldn't change this, but it makes it quite hard to fully remember a post and comment...

Also, MyO and the PM system aren't working too well since theO and MO are connected (share the inbox). It's just odd. And will there ever be a way to see ALL of the people on your subscription list at the same time and whether they updated recently? ^^;

Quick question, might be a bug, might just be me not understanding something right. Is the Category Subscription section in the backroom supposed to show recent activity like the one for members? If so, it's not doing that.

When I tried adding an image to page 3 my 1st guide (The Space battleship Yamato saga) in my world "Sci-Fi Anime Fortress", page 3 ended up repeating the inserted image from page 2 (the series 1 logo of "Yamato"). So, I had to remove the image from page 3 to avoid complications. What I tried to ad on page 3 of that post was the movie 2 logo from the "yamato" series.

When I try to put up a wallpaper on my world, it does not show up. Also, I'm having difficulty finding my old friends' world's as well (unless they don't have one yet?)

hi. i tried to submit some fan art, and the page just freezes. also, i favorited some things recently and they are not showing up in MY FAVORITES.

but i SO LOVE THIS SITE.

i tried to add a page to my manga and every time i click the "add series page" button i get a page saying "this page is expired". i don't know if it's just my computer or if it's a bug, but it didn't happen yesterday.

Um whenever I rate a quiz it says Rating failed for no reason...

Well, I updated my fanart and put different descriptions under them. But you can't automatically view the thumbnails of my art when you get to my portfolio. The only way you can see them is if you click "View All" for Fan Art in my portfolio. I don't want to be a drag, but I can't find my favorites either.

Oops. Nother bug....I currently have 'one new message' and I don't. Just to let ya know. Sorry for the trouble!

I noticed that the authors note on previous artwork is missing.
The artist tracker/favorites is hard to find [or I just don't know how to locate it hehe ^^', I'll probably find out eventually] along with my friends.
The youtube embed thing isn't working either, or that could just be my internet explorer [I forgot which version it is].
Also, is there another type of page that include the guestbook signings?

Just a concern, whats going to happen to the old MyOtaku backroom/pages/sites etc.?

It has been saying I have no new fan art and wallpapers although when i click all there there infact there there as soon as i submit my work there not even in the catogorised section.Im confuzzled

Several of the sub-pages in the backroom are actually missing correct URLs, for example, you go into a PM, and at the top you have the link to return to the messaging page, it's missing /backrooom/ part of the URL so you get a 404 error when clicking it. There's another page that like that as well, I can't which it is though.

That's probably because that username already exist, so the url for the world is kept free for that username. For example, no one else but you can create the url .../ankoku ^^

Actually, if you check the Post section of the backroom, and click the Add Guest Post submenu, you'll be able to see what worlds you're allowed to guest post in.

Otherwise I'd assume the person who added you does have to notify you. But yes, there is a way to check.

And like CosmicSailor said, it appears to be just the One Piece banner that won't submit to the dropdowns. I sat for about ten minutes refreshing the screen and cycled through the entire banner selection, and the rest of them worked fine.

Everytime I try to submit my comment, it seems to load it but a pop up window comes up and says that internet explorer needs to close and then all my windows close >_< . I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0. Is this a bug? because it is annoying to go back to here all over again.

Not so much a bug as an annoyance. Either there's going to have to be a way to link to multiple comments when replying so you can reply to more than one comment at one time, or the "no consecutive comments" thing will have to go. I have three comments I need to reply to in the same thread and can't cause of the consecutive comment block.

i still have to hit the refresh button to see anything, a problem i had with the old version as well as this new one.

I don't know if this has already been called to your attention, but I noticed something about all the submissions...

You know how artists can put their own comments about the stuff when submitting? Well... you can't see it when you're viewing the stuff. The only reason I know it's still there somewhere is because I went to edit something and my previous comments were there.

Is there a reason that these aren't viewable yet, or is it just a bug?

yea sorry to bother you, but i think i found a bug even though someone must have identified it already. i tried to upload my avatar, and when i clicked the change/add avatar button, it wouldnt let me get through. it stated that theO wants me to re-download what i was doing! help!!!

I found when I was going to edit a comic of mine to place it in the television section, it was acting like I was re-submitting the piece. I just want to make sure everything is in the right place, not use up my submission for the day.

I found that clicking on the pictures it will link you to the submission, but clicking on the name below it will lead to Error 404: Page Not Found.

It took me about a day and half to finally get on here...and then every time I tried to go to theotaku.com it gets a bad response from server or it can't find it or something...I got lucky enough to be able to type this! If it helps, I am using firefox.

When I try to create a world, a messege keeps coming up saying that I have to fill in both the title and description. But I did fill them in! I've tried to create a world at least ten times now, and I always get that messege. Please make it go away! T^T

I don't know if it's a bug, but in my inbox on MyO I have 495 messages. But on Worlds I only have 434. I kept all of those for a reason and want to know if something is missing. Thank you.

It took me a while to figure it out but it's simple once you know where to look. Click your portfolio link in the box on the right side of the page and scroll down to where the thumbnails are. Even if you don't have anything submitted in a category, you can still click the "view all" link and at the top of the page is a blue box with the number of submissions you have for it, and the link to your favorites.

Well, I figured the whole image in my introduction thing. But I still don't understand why sent messages are acting like unread messages if you go back to your myO. Oh and finding people is a bit of a pain.

I'm reporting quite a few bugs here, but I tend to notice weird things. Here's a gem for you though. All submissions in "Fan Words" which ID the user who posted them, and the name of the World where they posted them, are all indicating they were posted to a World called "0", that's the text in the links. Now, the links themselves are still correct, they take you to the correct World, it's just the name of the Worlds aren't showing up.

Another thing I noticed was that view counts on submissions don't seem to be working either.

Found another. You cannot properly modify a guest post. In doing so, you do not have the option to save it to the WORLD it was originally posted in. Instead, it defaults to one of your own WORLDS and does not list the WORLD you were given permission to post in as a guest at all.

Okay, here we go. these arent so much as bugs as they are things that arent as good as the last verson. Okay, how do you look at your site?How do you look at other people's sites? You cant tell if a message is new or not cuz it doesnt look any different. when i got on for the first time it said i had 0 new messages but when I looked at my old backroom ( i had it favorited) i had 26 new messages! Thats really a problem! But most of all, the site thing bugs the hell outta me! So plz PM me and tell me the answers to my questions!!

Yet another comment related bug, comments on other member's worlds that I'm subscribed to are not being reported in the backroom either. It seems the only comments I'm seeing right now are on Official Worlds most of which I've commented to, like the Bug report here. No other comments or comment replies are showing up at all.

It may not be a bug, but I'm just wondering if we can embed more than one image into our introductions of our worlds and the like.

What happened to all of the cosplay pictures? I can't find them

Well, I do have a couple problems like with customizing my world the image that's I put to be emedded in the introduction doesn't show up, and I have a problem with messages much to my surprise I recieved a message from my friend and he tells me he tried to send it 10 times and I try to reply but I couldn't I got that sql code.

I can't see my quiz results anymore... (on my main site page)

When I want to sort out Fan art with 'Most Active' and then the last 24 hours, it just shows me the most recent drawings ^^

More on that comment count bug, it's not just the comment count, it seems the whole comment reporting system in the backroom is having issues.

1) It's not reporting any comments made to my Worlds on the comments page in the backroom at all. These are the comments others have made and my replies to those comments.
2) My counts on the statistics page are all reading 0 when there's a whole list of comments on the comments page.
3) Replies to my comments aren't being listed as "Comment Replies" as intended, but are showing up in the "New Comments" section.

i cant seem to add pages to mangas,fer some reason it keeps telling me to fill all the areas out but it wont let me add a tag or the dedication part,when i click on those they wont type in..

so i cant add pages
i like this new version its ganna take me awhile to get used too it..

You need to have a link back to the myotaku home page so people can find each other then once they see others artworks...that is how you make friends and visit them...you really need that back.

New bug found... I posted a Wallpaper about 1am this morning into the Naruto Hub and it posted in my Profile, but is nowhere in the general population of the wallpapers I have looked everywhere for it and the only place I have found it is in my Profile of Wallpapers. Plus it stuck it to the back of the file not in the front like it use to???
Bug or something new going on?

A couple bugs to report on the ads, I have the code for the ad box error:

The requested URL /global/ads/google_cube.shtml was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at theotaku.com Port 80

There's also another ad issue to bring up. The One Piece movie ad banner across the top of the page actually sits on top of the navigation menus when they are moused over and pop down. I have a screen capture of that phenomenon here:

Right now, it seems to just be that One Piece banner that's doing it, I haven't seen the same issue with other banner ads yet.

Sorry about that, I knew I left out some important info from my bug report.

Make a note of these specs, cause they're not likely to change, that is until I post any changes to them.

I'm on Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1, and I use both Mozilla FireFox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 6 (not at the same time of course).

I tend to try to troubleshoot things on my end before I make a bug report cause I have had issues before that were native to my machine (and let me tell you I was embarrassed to say the least when that came up).

Anyway, at the moment, I've not had the issue with the update page I mentioned previously coming up all morning since I got on here today, but I did notice that there's a bad link in one of the ads or something. In the backroom the box ad on the right side of the page will sometimes show a "page not found" 404 error (it just affects the ad box, the rest of the page is fine). I'll post the details when I catch it again if I can, I'm sure someone might need the URL that's listed in the error to make sense of it.

I Agree there is no next option on the comments and the displayed ones are the old ones. I can´t see my number of comments like I used to in the old portfolio.

erm, im not sure if it's just my old laptop or a bug, but everything is a little slow and takes a while to load ^^;
everytime i want to sort something by series, date, or whatever, it either takes a looong time or it doesn't work.

and when I open my portfolio, it doesn't show the amount of *hugs* or favs or other things.
it's kinda confusing and hard to find many things, but I'm sure that's cuz I didn't explore enough. (I will do so after school XD)

other than that, I'm pleased with the new version! ^^ keep up the good work, and i hope u will be able to fix all the bugs on the site! X3 *huggles*

okay, i have a fan manga problem.

about an hour ago i submitted the cover to my manga, and it's in my portfolio. but...i can't add on the second page because it won't let me fill in all the fields required. plus, it says in my portfolio that i haven't submitted any manga but when i click on it my manga shows up. it's really confusing.

So now I'm confused because MyOtaku.com is still there, untouched, but I have to type it in seprately to get there. Will it be attached to this new backroom?

OK, this isnt exactly a bug, but it seems in this version right now you can't delete a post to fix a mistake you make and then re-comment. Plus I don't see any comment preview feature either.

If these are present, then I'm just too tired to see them. Otherwise, I think we could use them. They were very useful on the old site.

I'm not sure if it's a bug, but everytime I visit my own Worlds site, I add a view to it... And MyO sites that were wide and getting cut off at the side on new IE were working just fine when VV was launched. It wasn't getting cut off. But now it is again.

Tried embedding a video in my World introduction and it's not shwoing up.

Well hopefully this is something that will resolve itself over the next couple of days, but my biggest problem I'm running into is that everything, and I do mean everything, even OB. Is painfully slow to load.

Comment counter is not functioning. I have several comments and the counter is still reading 0 New Comments.

I have also been told by others that they cannot get to some people's portfolios in order to add them.

Lots to check out it seems. ^_~ One problem so far, I can't create a world using my own user name SunfallE, I get the message that it already exists even though I haven't created it yet.

There's an error in the paging feature for PMs. If the folder contains more messages than the page will show (or at least the saved folder - I can't confirm this for any otehr folder), the query fails. From reading the query, I can tell you that the problem is in the LIMIT clause, which is currently being set to 25, -20. I saved the full text of the error message so if you need that, let me know. Otherwise, this seems like it should be enough.

Besides that though, I'm very impressed thus far. The wait has been well worth it. Nice job.

Checking out the new site, (I have to say you have done a very good job here I am impressed) anywho I was in the Fan Worlds clicking away on the old ABC's to get me to the post there and the only thing it was doing was telling there was 20 futures in there, but not letting me in to view them. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is a real bug there... Just thought I would let you know...

AH! A pop up got on the front page once I got back into theO. It didn't appear before but it just did D:

Got a major issue that's not on my end cause I have other people who've never been to theotaku before having it, and it's intermittent as I try to use the site. I keep getting redirected to the Velegant page with that not-so-helpful message about the cache not being caught up to keep coming back, usually while I'm trying to do something important. The only fix I have right now is to switch web browsers, which makes for navigating the site difficult to say the least.

I also have a design request. Could there be a Black and Green color scheme developed for our Worlds sites? I don't like any of the current dark color schemes that are available and the "Green" scheme is way to bright for my liking.

So far though, I'm impressed with the site, hope that one page stops showing up on me though.

Hmm...I don't know if this is one but when I try to remove a message (I believe it's the button with a red dash) in my dashboard, it leads me to a blank page, and the message is still there. ^_^'

Before this version I had a lot of things favorited, but now I can't figure out how to view them, much less find out where they are. What happened to my favorites and how can I access them?!
