Maybe, but then again, he did quote the bible during the most glorious part of the show, and I think that'd count as more than comic relief. Maybe he was just there to set the mood. I dunno.

I honestly thought he was just there for the comic relief or the mystery. He spoke through his puppet to everyone but when he was alone he spoke through his own mouth. I would say something along those lines
