Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun - Li

Hello Everyone :)

This morning i was about to leave work, and before i came home, i decided to check out the new dvd releases that came out last night. While i was wondering around the dvds, i saw that the Street Fighter: Legend of Chun - Li movie had came in. At first I hesitated to buy it, but as i was browsing the dvd case - I saw that it had the Theatrical version as well as the Unrated version. It also contained another dvd which a Limited release of the Full Length Animated Origins Comic movie.

It was enough to put the thought in my head that maybe it's not as bad as ive heard the movie is, so i ended up buying it :)

Here is a pic of my dvd copy :)

So far, out of all honesty - The movie is actually pretty enjoyable lol. As a pretty big Street Fighter fan, I can honestly say that there are some things that i would change, but as a movie that is loosely based on characters from the game - it is alot better than i expected. The fighting is done well, and it is not too over-the-top. It was cool to see that they incorporated the "Nash" character in the movie, and it was also really cool to see the actor Robin Shou again. Most people will recognize him as the guy who played Liu Kang from the Mortal Kombat movies. He has grown older, but he is definitely still awesome, he still looks to be in awesome condition as well :)

Im pretty close to the end of the movie (im currently watching it right now lol) and i actually feel obligated to reccomend that this movie is definitely worth a rent. It's a cool action movie even if you arent a fan of the Street Fighter games. And if you are a Street Fighter fan, this movie can still be fun and enjoyable, even if alot of things arent exactly like they are portrayed in the videogames :)

It was fun to do another guest post and i sure hope to do it again soon, hopefully this post will encourage you guys to check out the movie, i hope you all enjoy it :)

stay strong,

Yamcha

Shoot, I actually forgot

That I had a Street Fighter fan-fiction I was working on. I literally forgot it. Dude Yamchaa, you got anything you want to say remember to feel free, and if you have any other buds or if you bump into anyone interested in Street Fighter refer them to me man. Also I was planning on doing some guides as well to be honest. You know on how to use the characters but not just guides like that but story stuff too you know make this a complete Street Fighter world if you want to help just pm me xaos. You have to show love to Ryu first.

Hadou Shou Ryu Ken

Hello everyone, My name is Jason. Im a friend of xaos, and a fellow fan of Street Fighter and everything Martial Arts ^^ Ive never guest posted on someone elses page so im somewhat nervous, hopefully this post will be enjoyed from one Street Fighter Fan to another all over the world ^_^

For this post I thought id express my opinions and likes about the anime series "Street Fighter 2 V". I first got my taste of this series a couple years ago while browsing channels and i stumbled upon a STARZ related channel that is a part of my cable package which happened to be showing an episode. I decided to give it a chance and i sat and watched the episode 9 i believe it was episode 2 : King of the Air Force) and to my surprise, i really really enjoyed it and i found myself recording all of the episodes and eventually buying the box set lol. I personally believe that i liked the series more because it portrayed Ken and Ryu as equals rather than one really being one up on the other. I remember when i was younger and playing the Super Nintendo version, and id always get into it with people who claimed one was really better than the other, you know how kids can be, especially when it comes to martial arts lol and i suppose i was no different lol. All in all, the SF2V series has the best of everything that the Street Fighter universe can give -

Great fighting throught the entire series , especially the Ken & Vega battle
Staying true to the characters and their development throughout the story
The large cast of characters and how their goals intertwine as the story moves

In my opinion, this series managed to pull everything off vey well and i never found myself being bored with it, and if you ask me - thats what is important in an anime series or videogame, especially if it has to do with martial arts and/or fighting in general. Xaos and myself found each other chatting a couple days ago about how well SF2V was put together and all the little things we enjoyed about it whether it was the introduction of Nash, or how incredibly bloody the battle between Ken & Vega was. In the end, the whole experience interpreted into an awesome experience - whether you are a fan of martial Arts, videogames, anime or otherwise, you truly have to appreciate the dedication Street Fighter 2 V brings in all regards. ^^

Well, id like to thank Xaos for allowing me the chance to guest post on his awesome page and i surely hope i didnt let him down in any way ^_^

Thanks again - till next time

Explaining the timeline

Well, hmm I don't really know what post type to put this in. Is essay good? Whatever let's continue.

This is an explanation of certain possible confusing points of my fanfiction. Namely the timeline. Well, even though it's a fanfiction I don't want any parts of the story coflicting with the canon, too much. Anyway it's a fanfic of course it's going to have some contrast with the main canon at least. Well, I think should start off by explaining the chronological order the Street Fighter games go in. Ready? Ok!

1)Street Fighter (the original one that came out in 1986)
2)Street Fighter Alpha series
3)Street Fighter 2
4)Street Fighter 4
5)Street Fighter 3

Confused? Yeah the upcoming Street Fighter 4 is between 2 and 3. Which is a relief to me becasue it doesn't hurt the fanfic. Still though I would've liked to see people like Dudley from 3 in 4.

So where does my fanfic fit in? Well it would be number 6 on that list since it's supposed to be much after all the games I wanted to have Ryu and Ken in it but as more mature wiser martial artists who are not active in fighting anymore and will train young martial artists who they deem worthy enough. Which is where the story kicks in. It focuses on two young martial artists one being trained Ryu and the other by Ken. A young male (who will be nameless for now) who is Ryu's pupil and a young female who is Ken's pupil. Through these two characters and Ken and Ryu I intend to explore the themes of the fanfic (I'm not going to spoil anything) and my thoughts and observations on what makes a true martial artists.

Well that is all for now thank you for reading it's much appreciated.
