yea... detroit was hit pretty hard by the 2009 crash, and the middle class has been fleeing the city left right and centre since then~ and after the bankruptcy, since civil service wasn't being provided for anymore, there's even less reasons to stick around... the only people there now are those too poor to leave or those wealthy enough to collect all the cheapened property! (hence the big worry about safety...) but i wasn't expecting a ghost town.. owo

i use all the profit i make from one convention and use it to pay for the next. xD tho i didn't make the cut for sakuracon so i guess i won't be going. =P FD is 24th on the waiting list tho.. there may still be a chance for FD ahahaha

Glad to hear you had a good time. The commute sounds like torture, though. Hope you had some music/audiobooks.
