I've found that I never miss my family much--I mean, I love them to bits, but I can at least call and email them, whereas I can't exactly email my dog. So seeing my pet has always been a top priority for me over breaks and stuff. XD

People who can work AND go to school are mutants who need little to no sleep. I knew I could not work and take classes without wearing myself into the ground, so I was a full-time student.

A lot of people I know who work and attend college take a reduced number of classes, so I guess that's how most get by. When I worked at the school newspaper, it took up roughly 25 hours of my week, and that along with my regular class load was a pretty rough ride. I know of a few people, though, who are full time students and work and participate in various school activities, and I have no idea how they pull it off. They must be cyborgs, or something.
