I know I'm commenting a bit late, but I just wanted to say thank you for making a post on this topic.

Even though I am not a moderator or anything of that sort, new members always ask me what a moderator is, and how to become one. I can tell them what a moderator is, but I always say "I'm not sure how to become one, sorry!"

Ohh now I understand. Thank you for explaining it in your post. It was interesting when I read it and re-read it again to understand it. ^_^

I have the outmost respect for mods. It must be such a hard job sometimes, if not most of the times. That is why I do my best to help you guys and around here so you have a moment of peace. Have no complaints, you guys do an excellent job and you always pick the right person to join your team. =)

OB, that's a different story...

On the forum where I moderate, it was the same thing. I was contacted one day by the site's admin and he asked if I wanted the position. As simple as that. I had never even been extremely active or shown signs of wanting to be a mod; I guess I was just a good member. o_O

Anyway, yeah, I'll be sure to link this to other peeps if the occasion ever arises.

You forgot to mention the tranquilizer gun. =P

I get the feeling that the feeling of the two people before is correct. :P

Anyway, yeah, it's as easy as putting a target on your back for the Admins to shoot you with a tranquilizer gun. Though having the gold and privileges may sound fun, it involves a lot of responsibility.

I get the feeling that Sangome is correct. That's what I'll start doing should the question come up. =P
