Mmm, I haven't been in chat for a while, but I'm glad he got banned. He pushed my buttons when he was there. But I can only imagine how much stuff like that probably bothered younger members.

You guys are totally right, you don't get enough credit for doing your jobs. But unfortunately, it comes with our site having a very young demographic, where unfortunately some of the thinking is along the lines of "I hate my teachers cause they make us work and don't let me txt in class."

The site, chat in particular, is supposed to be a safe environment for people to discuss their interests. But unfortunately, I'm sure other jerks are already stepping up to fill the void. :/

You will always find imature people, especially all around web. Its truly a shame that you mods have to endure all that horrible behaviour and do what it must be done and still hear complaints about said member who feels he it was an injustice and all his friends backing him/her because of the lies he/she has told or they don't know all the story.

I respect and appreciate all the patience and dedication you mods have to endure all this. Really.

Oh good, I'm glad you banned him. Every time I saw him in chat, he was always rude to me and other people. Since he always waited until there were no mods, I ended up avoiding any room he was in. So thank you.

I know. And honestly, I can sort of understand it since people don't want someone banned for no reason. That's certainly reasonable and fair to expect.

But in this case, you're right, it's going to accomplish nothing since there are logs proving he was being a jackass in chat. So I'd definitely say they're out of luck on that one. A boycott against a documented offense, more than once I might add, is pretty useless.

And it's clear from the comments in here that there were other members he was harassing in the chat. So yeah, done deal and definitely self inflicted.

I often wonder if you ever get tired of dealing with people who can't abide by simple rules and guidelines. I know I would find it tiring. So I'm glad that you take care of troublesome members like this.

I often think that members don't fully appreciate just how much the moderation crew does to ensure that their time spent on the site is a pleasant experience.

So kudos to all of you for putting up with that and keeping it sane for the rest of us. Believe me, it is appreciated.

You'd be surprised how little we get this from others. It really warms my heart when people actually take time to mention the staff and say thanks. We're here for you guys and I'd really like to say that while you may think we're heartless jerks or anything like that, we're just members like you that want to keep the site safe and fun for everyone ;)

Oh wow, I never relized Heero did those things. I guess he got what he deserved than. All Heero had to do was not do those things it's not like it's hard at all. But I guess he didn't want to.Thanks for doing your job.

I didn't really run into him very often, but if he was doing stuff like that, I'm glad you banned him. It's not that hard to follow the rules and be nice to other people in chat.

Three months huh? I knew he had been getting warned for breaking the rules, I just didn't realize he had been given that much time to shape up. Nor did I realize he had been given so many warnings. I wouldn't reverse the ban either. As for the people who are against it, I'm going to assume they don't know the full story.

But yeah, if you have a problem with following the rules and being courteous to other members, you have no business being in chat, period.

I didn't read all of the 2nd log, but that "joke" at the end... Yeah, I would ban him for that, too. As I've said before, immaturity knows no bounds (unfortunately).

It's a shame when people ignore warnings to behave. It's an even bigger shame when they act like they did nothing wrong instead of owning up to being a jackass. I personally got tired of his argumentative behavior and the way he kept doing things behind the moderators back.

He knew better, he just thought he was above the rules. Or rather his behavior indicated that. Most people, when I ask them to not do things like that, they just apologize and stop. Anyway, since he kept ignoring our reminders to behave, I figured it was only a matter of time until he got himself banned.

I wish I understood why people refuse to follow the rules. =_= Like you said, it's not that hard. If they want to behave like that, there are plenty of other venues to do so, like IM services such as AIM. Though I see no reason to behave like that period, regardless of where it is.
