Grandma Update
Grandma had surgery earlier today. The doctors say the actual procedure went great but she had some trouble with her breathing (not surprising, given her age and dislike of tubes stuck down her throat). At the moment she's hooked up to a respirator to ease the breathing. They're also keeping her anesthetized for the time being. Mom's staying over at the younger sisters' place for the time being. Big bonus points to dad for getting out of work to drive her to the hospital (roughly 2 hour drive). It's just too bad he's not good with situations like these and end up saying things that doesn't help/upsets mom. Ah well, mom has the rest of us :)

Mom went to see grandma. Grandma fell ill. Problem with intestines. Started throwing up what was supposed to come out the other end. Probably won't need surgery. They're gonna use contrast fluids (?) and hope it dissolves the blockage.
Regardless of whether or not things are (more) serious (than what they are at the moment), I'm taking the train down first thing tomorrow. I wanna make sure mom has support.
