Not really sure what could be missing from the first one because there's a lot going on there. It could be that it just needs some textural element to it.
As for the second one, first off, great job on the background. I think it does need text of some kind though, and maybe a texture or two. But I wouldn't use anything that takes away from the colors.
Ranka Lee is from Macross Frontier. It is one of the best animes I've seen for awhile. Besides Yu-Gi-Oh Gx. Anyway SAT tests? How did it go or did you take it yet? And please call me Judai if you want.

Very nice wallpapers. I look forward to seeing the finished products. A couple suggestions I would make is for the second one is maybe use a grunge texture. Maybe a dark texture to contrast the light background. For the first one simply use a nice magical bokeh. There are several different bokehs. Grunge texture would add to it as well.
Also just wondering about the wallpaper I requested with Ranka. I've been waiting for awhile for it. If you need I can help you find a scan of Ranka. I'm just wondering about it is all.

Yea, I made the background. :D Wasn't sure if people would like it, so I'm really glad to hear that you do! And yea, I did the shadow as well. There was another one originally, but I didn't like it, so I changed it to this. As for the idea about the text, thanks so much! I'd been wondering this whole time how I can incorporate words into it! xD

I love both of them. I think the first one could maybe go with a {extra} texture if you haven't already added one?
And the second one...you made the background all by yourself? So retro and cool! Did you also make her shadow? :O Either way, super cool! I was thinking maybe some faded text withing the round circles? Dunno, just a thought!
