I'm pretty sure it's one of the Mid-West zones. Since when I did submit my own card at 1 AM the date stamp was 8/10. So it's definitely not Cali time.

If I actually get inspiration maybe I'll try this! It would make sense, because a few weeks ago one of my cards was in the top 8 but I submitted it at like one in the morning LOL inspiration strikes when I should be sleeping.
Do you know what time zone this site goes by?

Trust, you don't sound selfish. I honestly have only seen one person who is constantly in the Top 8 like... everyday... and I'm pretty sure they don't take their stuff seriously (or maybe they do, I don't know, I'm just guessing). I feel like we might have a bad rap because of it, people thinking we're lazy and all. I don't know, I digress. Hopefully my little plan will bear some fruits and we can find a way to get people some recognition (and then maybe talk to someone about fixing this because, frankly, is a little ridiculous).

I mean, I don't want my post to sound selfish or anything, but I really am pissed that card makers are kindda brushed under the rug like we don't really make as much of an impact as fan art and wallpapers. There's just as much quality and work if not more in the card section as there is in any other section. Card makers - quality card makers - deserve proper recognition and reward for creating good art. There are so many artists in the card section like you, myself, Cleavers, BabyD, Gom, Effie, etc etc. The list can go on! But I haven't seen them in the Top 8 in quite a while...

I know! It's really suckish for people who mostly make cards (like yourself) and their stuff doesn't get recognized (you have no idea how happy I was to see one of gomdorri's in the Top 8 today, no joke).

I'd really like to see some quality cards in the top 8, too! I see almost every other category is based on quality/hugs/favs/views, but not the card section. It's really disappointing and quite a downer. *DEMOTIVATIONAL*

I'd love to join you, but I'll probably have to do this tomorrow night. I've already used up my creativity for the day and am to tired to join in on the fun. ;( But I will be interested to see what happens with this experiment.
