the endevors of mathematics

How does it feel to understand math? cool, when I understand what my teacher says I feel real smart and I can puff up my chest and laugh at the hopeless losers behind me. However most of the time I am the hopeless loser! I'm the one who looks smart but isn't. What a shame! That's why moments like this are what I live for, you like romance? good. This is a snippet from my experience in math class.

I shook off my soaked hands, earlier I had been dissecting animal parts in human anatomy and the befouling smell of latex had clung to my hands! I was currently hiding from my responsibility as a student in math class and meandering about the 600 wing. I slipped into the ladies room to wash off the revolting smell and now headed back to my class, and that was when i caught a glimpse of my friend Henry sitting calmly in his own class. He was engrossed in his work and didn't see me, but just a look got me feeling better.

When I sat at my table the three boys sitting around me had caused mischief. To the right Evan was wearing my coat, diagonally John had drawn a smiley on my paper and across from me Aaron..... well he just was and that was enough. We had a nice laugh about Evan's nice fit into my coat, and a quick chat about the smell of latex. Aaron reach for my hand to see what my fuss was all about. I jerked back, I didn't want him touching me.

"Ha!" Evan said "you can't just smell her hands! Only Henry's allowed to do that!" I gave him a look but I knew that everyone was already aware of my fondness for him, so I just pretended I was working on math to hide my crazy blushing. The class started a quiz and Evan leaned over to his comrades

"We need to get Henry to ask her out" he whispered.

"I heard that." I warned

"No you didn't!" he shot back quietly

sweet huh? I think I'm really lucky to have nice guys like Evan and John for friends! Eathematics can be cool, sometimes......
