Pandora Hearts

Yay! New anime! ^o^ I've only seen the first four episodes of Pandora Hearts so far, but there have already been several references to Alice in Wonderland. In fact, one of the characters is actually named Alice and she can transform into a super-sized black rabbit. Not to mention that the main character, Oz, wears Ouji-style clothing. I don't think it's actually supposed to take place during the Victorian era, it seems a bit more modern than that. Once the storyline progresses in ep 3 or 4 it's really simular to Tsubasa with the missing memories. I don't think it's as great as animes like Tsubasa, but I really like it! ^^ I never really could stick with Tsubasa though, so I like Pandora Hearts more. Most people would probably disagree. ^^; In any case, it's a nice little anime with around 25 episodes (I think that's right) and if you like Alice in Wonderland and Ouji then you'll probably like Pandora Hearts. The anime is japanese only, but the manga (after already being liscenced and dropped once) has been liscenced again, though I don't know anything more than that. It might be released in english, and it might be dropped again. You can watch the anime here with subtitles if you'd like:

His life changes completely at his coming-of-age ceremony when he is thrown into the Abyss prison. Rocking Horse Shoes

I remember the first time I saw a photo of a Lolita wearing ballerina Rocking Horse shoes, I thought they were the ugliest, most un-flattering shoes I had ever laid eyes upon. lol For years I continued to think so, until they finally started ...

More Manga

Did you know that there was a manga created too from kamikaze girls.
there's still some comedy but the only thing, is that the order of how things happened is a bit (a lot) different from the film, also the characters looks are a bit different. but overall it's a good manga. if you want to read it you could try this http://www.mangafox.com/manga/kamikaze_girls/ enjoy!

Fashion manga

I found this manga about fashion that's called ALICE QUARTET OBBLIGATO . The clothing is wonderful, but the story line lacks a bit. but other then that it worth the while to read it.

Kamikaze Girls

After hearing countless references to this movie from Lolita's and sites about Lolita, I finally found it on ebay and bought it. I must say, this is probably my fav movie now! I love japanese movies to begin with, but the main character of Kamikaze Girls is a lifestyle Lolita! ^o^ And not only that, but she lives in the country with no other Lolita's around her. Just like me. ^^; This Lolita's name is Momoko. Everyday she walks for 30 minutes from her home in Shimotsuma to the train station, which she then takes to Tokyo so she can shop at her fav store, Baby The Stars Shine Bright. When money gets tight, she decides to sell some of her father's fake brand clothes. Her first customer is a rough-and-tumble gangster girl named Ichigo. When Ichigo sees all of the fake brand products Momoko is selling for cheap, she acts as though she's found paradise. Gradually, the two girls become friends and go to great lengths for eachother.
Momoko wears most any Lolita style in the movie, including a Shirololi that turns Gurololi at the end. She's also great at making alterations to her clothes. In one part of the movie, moths eat a few holes in Momoko's white bonnet from Baby The Stars Shine Bright. Instead of throwing it away and buying a new one, she cuts hearts from the holes and embroiders around them. If I could embroider, I'd love to make such alterations! ^-^ There are some super cute fashions in the movie!

Actually, I'm watching the movie right now. Ichigo is carrying Momoko's light pink parasol. That parasol look so out of place in Ichigo's hands. lol Sorry, I just had to comment on that. ^^;
