Homunculus goes a bit too far at certain parts. It's at lot worse than Vagabond, but if you're used to mature manga it shouldn't be too bad. I just keep giving you warnings because it's really surprising where it goes to at these certain parts that I almost stopped reading it, but when I finished it I realized it was still an amazing story.

All of these look so good, though!! *3* You did a really good job with Gabe's face! :o And yeah... Stefan is definitely Yaoi Glasses Guy... He just reminds me of a Suzuki Tsuta character, 'cause she always does yaoi and shounen-ai manga about dudes in suits. Look at this, it's Stefan with a better hairstyle. And Stefan as an old man. And kindhearted Stefan, in the 2nd panel (again, with a better hairstyle). STEFAN...???
Sorry for going on a tangent, I was just surprised you said Stefan looked like a yaoi manga glasses guy, 'cause I've thought the same thing before. xDD
I think the Noland and Dare look good, too! *3* Especially Dare, I think his face is spot on! *0* ♥ ♥ ♥ He's supposed to look a little feminine or young, so yeah~ When I draw Noland, I just think... fluffy... round... big nose... a human pillow... idk.
Tadao's face looks good, too! I like his lips and eyes. *3*

Ooh! . 3 . I can't throw any hair references your way due to sudden technical difficulties,so here's a "Kiip Tip": however long his "ear locks"? are I use to reference how long his hair would be as a whole. Everything else is folded inward...! I guess. ._.
Aah! Then Homunculous shouldn't be an immediate problem for me; I'm collecting Takehiko Inoue's Vagabond [that's a bit NSFW too, eh?]. I'll give it a shot! I like mature manga a bit more than shounens anyway.

Haha! I am glad you did like the Tadao portrait since whenever I draw Tadao I feel disappointed in my drawing...I have so much difficulties drawing him! ;m;

I originally thought it was his hair and then I drew some more and then I looked through your comic again and then I was like 'wait a minute...maybe that's not hair...' And then I confused myself and just decided to draw it like you drew it for safety reasons! XD
Oh yeah! XD I am obsessed with Homunculus right now and I just can't stop! ;m; But word of warning it's a seinen. It's also written by the writer for Ichi the Killer so some pretty violent and sexual stuff. It's super NSFW (but I read it all at work so whatevs) and a few parts were really hard to read without gagging. It's not for everyone but it's super good.
You could call it procrastination and then you could call it 'mixing it up'. My artistic life in a nutshell, now that I think about it.... Hahaha!

I was ogling at the Gabe and Tadao portrais~ "Oohed" at the Orihiko and then startled myself when I caught eye of my Kiippon. ~so pretty in your style~ Then read everything else...! ♥
[Yeaaaah. That's his hair. I actually managed to configure a drawing to reason as to how that's possible. As a concept, the hairstyle is physically possible. LOL! Couldn't achieve exact results and the berets wouldn't hold, sadly, but I managed all odds and ends with my long hair. Boy, did I look stupid!]
When I saw your image of the gent' with the head wound, I was like, "woaah, what's all this about!?" This would be Homunculus? (says the gal being lazy and not checking herself > , >) I haven't read any different manga lately, other than Gangsta, and that might go to 'check it out' list now that I think about it. I'm starting to miss reading online manga every week.
