Exactly! My brother was just telling me that random stuff isn't hilarious, but the show...it's...it's too hilarious! TT^TT How can he say that? I kinda feel like he's never watched it...I don't actually remember if he was there all the times I watched it...O.o;
I did the same thing! XD I first read bits of the manga and thought it was hilarious and then when the show came on toonami I was really happy and it was even funnier. Plus the show kept getting funnier each episode! XD
Exactly! Lots of people complained about how stupid it was because it didn't have a story, but y'know what, it didn't need a story to be silly! And the stupidity makes it even funnier~! XD
I knoww...it's kinda sad...I guess children are a bigger audience to manga/anime because they don't know what's good and they haven't lived long enough to get tired of anything...>.>
...I can't deal with long anime anymore...maybe when I was little-er...I can't get into anime if the story requires me to get deep into it, unless I like the music, art, style, and animation...Now, if it has little to no story but crazy good animation, I'll still like it! XD
...Yeah, Bleach is on my list of the kinds that people try to recommend me to watch, but it's just so boring...I even WANT to like it...I do like some of the art (except the cross-hatching under the chin..it looks like a beard). I hear Haruhi Suzumiya's pretty good...I don't know why I've never watched it (actually, I've seen the first part of the first episode about 6 times...O.o; )

Ehh, I just suggest you not to watch any anime that people watched when they were kids. I think people only like it because it's nostalgic, not because it's good.
Ugg...old anime is...sooo bad...Liike, it has FANTASTIC story, but the animation is just not there...and you kinda just want to stick to the manga...but then there's no manga! "orz
Hrmm...maybe I should read the manga, then...O.o; I don't really like watching the anime of a good manga...when the anime is only somewhat good compared to the manga...>3>

Ah, yeah, I see...sometimes I'm not sure with the anime...liiike it has a LOVELY art style...but it's a crappy show. Or, wait, something liike where I watch the first episode, then I watch the second and it's a piece of crap..."orz Then the third is worse and then I realize the story is stupid and it's all in all an upset...>3>
I've only seen the first episode of the anime, but I've been following the Hourou Musuko manga for a while.
I think it's really a matter of taste. It's slice of life, and it does a great job of handling the delicate issues of gender identity and growing up in general.
From what I've seen of the anime, the animation is quality and keeps the simple style of the manga. They cut out quite a bit of the story (started in the middle), but it keeps the same atmosphere.

HOUROU MUSUKO~! KYA! I don't know if the anime is any good, but I really liked the manga~ So if it's anything like that it's probably good...I actually only read the manga because it had cross-dressers~.
FFF other than that I don't have much to say. You should watch Fractale. That anime is pretty legit.
