Ah, really? For me...uhhh....if I hadn't been born then...No, more like if my brothers never bought that Nintendo game or if toonami never existed than I wouldn't be where I am today...
If I wouldnt have stayed up on that school night watching adult swim ( which my parents were strongly against at the time considering I was like 10 or 11...maybe 12) I might not be into what I am into today...
Oh, yeah! Beyblade! I tried to watch that, but I had no clue what was going on...and I fell asleep during it (well, it was really early in the morning...TT^TT), and that was my only experience with it! XD
DBZ was AWESOME! I think that or Sailor Moon is what got me into drawing...O.o Yeah, I HAD to watch it, too. XD
Medabots!! See, I've forgotten so many anime! XD I loved that show! XD I would keep making up my own medabots and stuff, but then I forgot it came on and then I never watched it again...O.o
Yeah, sometimes we dislike random anime for no reason. Like how I hated Inuyasha the first time I saw it...and I've never liked it since...O.o I don't know why I liked Outlaw Star since most of the episodes made me bored...
Ah, yeah, Ghibli films, movies like Princess Mononoke which are heavily based on Japanese culture and history his kind of hard to watch and pay attention to if you don't know what's going on. I found that out when we watched it in my film club...Nobody really liked it because they thought it was weird or boring...O.o
It wasn't really that much like the book, but it was trying to have that same kind of feel like the book or just the basic plot of the book. They should've gone into way more depth on the characters and made it longer, then it might have won best animated film...But it didn't. I think that movie and Ponyo was one of Miyazaki's worst...O.o Not that they weren't good, they just didn't seem to have as interesting characters or a nice feeling and they were both too short...>.>
*laughs* Your comment isn't as long as it seems...XD
Oh, that's okay, I had to look up all my stuff because I couldn't remember any of it! XD And I've forgotten lots of shows! XD
Yes, Pokemon is love. I don't think there are many people who watch that anymore...O.o But there are plenty of people who still play the game because the game is AWESOME! ^ ^
Oh, wow, it's surprising how much of an affect Inuyasha had on people. No wonder the mangaka is one of the richest women in Japan...O.O
Oh, yeah! Monster Ranchers! I used to watch that show, too! XD I completely forgot about the shows I watched on WB Kids...and the Fox Box...O.o...And Digimon...I don't remember where I watched it, but I was in love with it.
I know, the new generations annoyed me. It wasn't the new pokemon it was the new characters, they were boring and annoying and I wanted it to be Brock, Misty, and Ash forever...
*laughs* Yahiko, I named one of my Chaos in Sonic after him...XD
I've never seen Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, maybe like 5 minutes of one episode because I remembered it came on way too late.
I THINK I watched Transformers: Beast Wars, but I can't remember anything about it and no pictures ring a bell....O.o
Where'd you watch Trigun? I had always wanted to watch it, but I only saw pictures and I didn't know where it came on...same for Escaflowne and Utena.
It's funny how Case Closed is so addicting! XD
I watched some of Inuyasha, but I didn't like it...So I've never watched it since...
I My Me Strawberry Eggs!? I've never heard of it! O.O
My friends said the same thing about the 4Kids One Piece...I hated it, for me it was really boring...>.>
Yeah, it's strange how you can remember that theme song...It comes to me when I'm trying to remember another song, and it gets stuck in my head...XD
I think Duel Master's translation was completely messed up because they kept on breaking the fourth wall. I liked that it made it funnier, but I don't think anything they said was what they were supposed to be saying...XD
I watched Princess Mononoke back in 5th grade because they had a Month of Miyazaki on TCM, I loved them for that! XD
*laughs* I loved that song! Every time they started singing it I would stand up and do that dance thingy with the arm to the chest and then to the sky...XD I don't know why, and I kept doing it, it was so fun. I loved that song so much! XD
I've never seen Azumanga Daioh...and that kills me because I've been trying to watch it or read it, but every time I find that it's deleted the next day...TT^TT...Well, on the internet.
Well, I have a horrible memory so I couldnt give you a whole list of animes I watched as a child that influenced me but i'll try..
Pokemon for sure will always have that special place in my heart. I always watched it as a kid and I dont really watch it much anymore but I play the Ds/gameboy games still. and no matter how old I get i will always love pokemon.I still cry when i watch the first movie. xD
Sailor Moon was also one I watched as a kid and Cardcaptor sakura which played on what now is 4kids tv I think....
Inuyasha is also a great one. Inuyasha is THE anime that got me crazy obsessed with anime. Ever since I saw inuyasha one night, I started looking up animes and drawing anime and Inuyasha was what started it all for me.
I'll try to remember more....Digimon, Dragonball Z, rave master, yugioh, tenchi muyo, and I think thats all I can remember of animes from my childhood....

OMG So many animes... I watched alot but I hardly remember any of them, haha. I don't think I was really inspired by a particular anime... What did I watched when I was younger?
-------
Salior Moon (I hardly remember it. I just remember I watched it)
Dragon Ball Z (Again I just remember I woke up early just to watch it! But I don't remember anything that happens in it.)
Flint the Time Detective (I don't remember what happens in that one either)
Samurai Pizza Cats (Again I don't remember what happens in it)
Monster Ranchers (I don't really remember this one, I just remember it was awesome! And I really miss it~)
Pokemon (I only watched like one pokemon movie, but I loved the series, until they started to add more pokemon. Then I was angry)
Digimon (Oh gosh I was a sucker for digimon! I love it so much~)
Ruroni Kenshin (Haha I saw this twice but I don't remember the first time and the second time I loved it, but I still don't really remeber what happens in it. My favourite character was Yahiko!)
Outlaw Star (I saw this in like third grade and just remember loving it,but I never really remebered what happened in it. And then I watched parts of it again when I was older and was like "Was it really ok for a third grader to watch this?!")
Moblie Suit Gundam SEED (I forgot which one it was so I looked it up... haha the only gundam I watched~)
Transformers: Beast Wars (PFFFT I watched it a long time ago, and then watched it again when I was like 15... I think it's one of the only transformers series I've seen.)
Trigun (LOVED TRIGUN~ It was during a time when I was getting back into anime and the first episode I watched was coincidently the first episode OMG It was so good~)
Case Closed (I love this one, though I didn't watched very much of it, Haha though I remeber staying up late just to watch it because I liked it so much.)
Inuyasha (PFFFT I loved Inuyasha too, but then I started to hate it)
I My Me Strawberry Eggs (I think I watched this when I was 12/13. It's my favourite anime ever. It's just so good, and it definently developed my love of cross-dressing)
One Piece (I loved the 4Kids One Piece, haha I actually hated it when it wasn't 4Kids... I also got the manga but I stopped since I had already seen most of the episodes, and now I'm so far behind I could never catch up~)
Fighting Foodons (LOL I think that's ones.I hardly remember it... I just liked the theme song~)
Rave Master (I almost forgot about it, I loved Ploo and THE THEME SONGS WERE AWESOME~ But I've forgotten most of it... My brother reads the manga online now and loves it~)
Duel Master (THAT SHOW WAS HILARIOUS~ I loved the one episode with the spanish thing {LOLI don't remember} and where they were all like "Fuzzy Blue Ear Pickle? OH The episode was called "Something Wacky This Way Comes" it was hilarious!)
YUGIOH (I loved this and I use to play the card game all the time~ and I liked the movie and I liked making fun of the series, and I sorted like the one with that one kid and sebastian and chumley. ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS SO HILARIOUSLY STUPID~ I just liked to make fun of Chumley)
Princess Mononoke (I saw it when I was like in third grade but I didn't remember it at all, and then I watched it again when I was in a big Miyazaki kick and was like "This seems familiar" lol but I still don't remember it... I didn't watched the other Miyazaki stuff until I was like 15...)
Zatch Bell (I think I was 12 when I watched this... Haha it's where my user name comes from. I didn't watched very much of this even though I liked it. I loved Iron Man Folgore~ LOL I loved to sing his song it was great~)
-------
Haha I watched alot but I either don't remember them or I was like 15 or 16. Like Azumanga Diaoh I might have watched when I was like 13/14... Yeah because it was around the same time I watched I My Me Strawberry Eggs.... haha I sorry there's so many.....
Yeah, Dragon Ball Z was pretty long...I've seen every episode, but I can't remember any of them...TT^TT
Cute CABBITS...O.o Strange how they came up with that...XD
Aww, I can't draw them, and I think they're kinda boring, but I liked the story and the other characters.
Aw, yeah! I loved all of them Hamhams! ^ ^ They were so cuute! I like Penelope the most, though...She was so tiny!
I loved Hiei! I would draw him all the time! XD And I'm never finished those series, either...I know what happens...but CartoonNetwork messed it up...>.> Le gasp! Really!? I hope it's good! Gackt should play Kenshin! XD No, that'd look creepy! XD Gackt would not look good with red long hair, I don't really like him with long hair when he HAD long hair....>.>
I know, there was just something about Cyborg 009 that was likable....but nobody'll ever know....O.o
I watched up to...up to...I have no clue...But I didn't watch any of it in order, just watched it when it came on...I've only read a few chapters here and there of the manga, and it's great, but, yeah, I'm not going to read all of that either! XD
I've read the Naruto manga, and I hated it even more, and the plot twists made me cry and hate it even more...I just hated the way it was going and all the new characters made me cringe, so I just stopped altogether like the beginning of this year...>.> I still no so much about it, though...Why!?
Oooh, really, I should read it then! ^ ^ I hate Misashi Kishimoto's art style, though, so I'll see how his brother fares...
The book is AMAZING! It's the only book I've ever read that's a novel that only took me two to three days to read...Not that it's short, but that it's soooo interesting! I couldn't put it down! Yeahhh, I liked the movie the first time I saw it, but then the second time I saw all the problems and it as too short for me...>.> I like looong movies...And I don't really like Christain Bale...his voice didn't match how I thought Howl's voice should be, his voice is really growly if you've noticed...O.o You might have memory of his voice sounding different, but then when you watch it again you're like 'Woah! Howl really is a werewolf like his name suggests!' it's really growly...O.o
Feh, Miyazaki is just mad that his son doesn't like the movie business. He's not even trained to be a movie director, I don't see why they made him do it. Just because he's the son of a great animator doesn't mean he's actually as good as his dad.
Sailor Moon: I was so little when I watched that. Probably my first ever anime.
Dragon Ball: Oh so cute!! I wanted to eat Goku and Krillen! DragonBall Z: The first anime addiction. Trunks was my love!! <3 <3 I had the biggest crush on him! The action was amazing, but of course, IT WAS SO LONG AND DRAWN OUT! I think I watched all the way up to GT, then the the very last episode.
Tenchi Muyo: Taking me back again. All I can remember from that show is Ryouko (?) and the cute rabbits! <3
I hate(d) Big O and Gundam! I can't stand Gundams and mechas.
Zoids was the bomb. GO LIGER! WOO! Haha. Hamtaro was ADORABLE! I still remember the song! I loved that tiger looking hamster who always played his guitar. >3<
YuYu Hakushou I should rewatch that. I was in love with Kurama, but so was everyone else. Hiei was pretty BAMF too. I never did finish it though. Same with Rurouni Kenshin, never did finish it. Hard to find dubs online. Did you know they're making a live action out of it?
Cyborg 009 was hard to hate. I can't remember why I loved it, but I did!
I use to watch One Piece every Saturday morning on 4kids. I got up to where they meet the reindeer. I know I should read the manga, but that's alot to read. I'll do it one day though.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat. You should totally read the Naruto manga! It's so... SUSPENSEFUL! You could learn how to make plot-twist like Kishimoto! Actually, if you want to ever draw awesome fight scenes, read Seishi Kishimoto's 666 Satan and/or Blazer Drive! Seishi is the twin brother of the guy who created Naruto, but he draws so freakin amazing. His fight scenes aren't cluttered and confusing! The story of 666 Satan is pretty awesome too, I recommend it.
Ahhh Yu-Gi-Oh, I watched the original season. I actually hated Yugi and Pharaoh. I loved Kaiba.
GO WATCH COWBOY BEBOP! xD That stuff is AWESOME! Plus Ed and Ein are so cute! I love watching for the dogfights and Spike's fist fights. I can't remember the main storyline, but the humor and animation were off the wall!
The whole time I was watching FLCL, I was thinking to myself, "Wtf?" I did watch because the pillows did the music for the whole show! the pillows rooock.
I remember Blue Gender, something about alien insects? It was pretty gory. I remember I watched it cause the guy who voiced Trunks was the main character.
Samurai Champloo = Awesome sauce. I kick myself for not seeing the last three episodes.
I would surprised if an artist on this site said they were not influenced by Miyazaki in the slightest way. I think every artist should be influenced by him. He's amazing beyond words. The stories he tells, the morals he incorporates, the animations itself, all so captivating! The Akudama's were so cute! I wish I could have my own Akudama. :3
Howl's is my favorite! I never read the book, but the movie was so beautiful and magical. I loved Howl and his voice actor!
I tried watching Tales of Earthsea a couple of months ago, the beginning was so boring. <O<"" I was sad to hear how Miyazaki treated his son though. Called him something along the lines of a 'disgrace', if I'm right.

Whew. xD
