Ahhh...yeah, I understand you with the whole age gap thing. But I think of it this way:
If somebody likes somebody older than them, but this older person was old enough to remember the birth of that somebody, then that's just creepy...So they shouldn't be together. Like, if they're 10 years apart...Or more...like 30...O.o
I'm getting more used to the whole 8 year gap thing, but 12 to 20....yeah, he's still a minor...O.o Soo....I don't like shounen-ai/yaoi where there is a little boy in love with a man. It's just creepy...O.o
I do like shounen-ai, also. I find it cute! ^ ^ But I think of it about the same as I think of shoujo manga...it's interesting to read sometimes, but it's not my favourite genre at all.

Yes, if there's like a hint for two people to like each other, I'll accept that. But I like pairing up characters that could come together in the future, but probably never will...Like if they one time had a heart to heart conversation or something...Or looked nice together. I can't think of an example...because all my favourite pairings almost end up together like AmuXIkuto...XD The first time I saw Ikuto I was like ,"Ohhh!! Kitty boy! Too bad his a bad guy, he'll never end up with Amu." But guess what? He's a candidate! X3

I don't really like fan pairings, whether it's shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, or whatever straight couples are called. xD; (excuse me for my ignorance.)
I mostly don't like them because the author didn't pair them up, which means they didn't want them to be together, which means they aren't TRUE LOOOVERS~~
However, if character 1 has feelings for character 2 in the beginning of the story, but then has feelings for character 3 at the end of the story, I won't usually mind the pairing of character 1 and character 2. (Does that even make sense? xD;)
This is beacause the author gave the character 1 feelings for character 2 at some point, implying that they wanted them to be together...ish.
...obviously, my point of view on pairings is almost completely based on whether or not the author gave the characters feelings for eachother or not. :/ It's kind of an abstract point of view on pairings, but w/e.
Aaaanyways, I like the pairing of Syaoran and Sakura (CCS/Tsubasa). :) They're the perfect couple. xD
I don't really care for any crack pairings, but I don't really care enough to HATE any. :d

I agree with you. I don't care if you like yaoi, but when it's shoved in my face repeatedly, it gets upsetting.
I think Naruto yaoi/yuri is my least favorite thing to see, no offense to anyone. And the L/Light/Mello/Matt pairings are ok to a degree, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to like it >_o
I'm like you- I dislike Sakura and Sasuke, but I think they'd make a cute couple ^^
Are there any pairings that make you particularly angry, or that you love to death?
I don't think there is a specific couple that I hate. But I really, really hate when in a series there are like 15 guys fighting over one super moe girl. Mainly because this isn't realistic, and also because the girl always picks that one guy who is just less than perfect. Always, it seems. I don't think that counts as a pairing though?
And I guess I really like Yahiro and Megumi from S•A. I really wish they had their own seperate manga. Yahiro doesn't love anyone, and Megumi is kinda selfish, but a relationship happens anyway.
But I'll step off my soapbox now, lulz. Sorry if I wasn't making any sense D;
