F&H Chapter 16- A different master

New chapter! Enjoy!

The friends found that, even with Snape there, they weren't able to gather the information they needed. Sakura had abandoned the technique:hide, and decided that strength in numbers also helped. Fai had returned, so they didn't have to worry about Snape teaching DADA . The second quarter students in Hufflepuff and Gryffinfor had potions class substituted by Herbology.

With Professor Sprout gone , Hagrid took her place. Hagrid resembled how Kyo had envisioned a giant would be. Despite being a tall man, Hagrid was a gentle man, with a ridiculous obsession for dangerous magical creatures. So far, all they hd learned from him what you should do if: You wanted your plants to die, your flowers to wilt, or a man-eating plant to eat less people.

Since Ami was in Ravenclaw, she still had to suffer through Snape's harsh potions classes. But, she could also spy on him in person. Everyone rejoyced when they saw Fai, but he looked terribly distant and weak. Kyo overheard other hufflepuffs say that Fai was afraid that whatever had happened to Kurogane, would soon happen to him. Sakura thought Fai was concerned for Kurogane's well-being, and Sakura reminded him that Fai depended on Kurogane for blood. Of course, they decided it would be better not to reveal to Kyo that Fai was a vampire. Despite his weakness, Fai continued increasing his students' skill in defensive magic until he was sure they could handle anything from a tall cliff to a three headed dragon. " You will need your magic in tough situations." He told them, and Kyo couldn't agree more.

--------------------------------------

Fai smiled. "What's on your mind, Syaoran."

Syaoran grinned. "You could tell, huh? Oh, I was just thinking about what Kurogane once asked. 'I wonder where the real Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is.' Now other teachers are vanishing too. Maybe we can add this as clue? There could be a connection."

Fai nodded. "You have a point, but won't it confuse your new friends if you tell them I'm not really their teacher?"

Syaoran chuckled. " I don't believe there's anything that coul.d surprise them now."

Fai continued to nodd and took it under consideration. Perhaps they were onto something. The teacher disappearances may be the key.

--------------------------------------------

"Happy Valentine's Day!!!" Sakura woke up with a start. People were talking very loudly downstairs. Sleepily, she slipped into her robes and glanced at the magical calendar on her wall. The page said, "February 14- Valentine's day." Sakura couldn't believe that she'd forgotten. Sakura took out a paper and quill and wrote, " Dear Syaoran.... I am thankful for all youv'e done for me. For you, I promise that I will one day remember everything about you... and myself. You're so caring and always know how I feel, nd I cherish every moment we spend together. Your BFF, Sakura." And of course, there was Kyo's letter to write. " Dear Kyo, I'm so happy that you wanted to be my friend at the beginning of the year. I felt so lost and alone when Syaoran was placed in Gryffindor, and I don't think I could have pulled through without you. So when's the next Quidditch match? Do you know? I sure don't. I practice with the team after school everyday, but I can never remember the skirmish dates.Yours Truly, Sakura.

She laughed at herself, realizing how much she enjoyed signing her name. It also never occured to her how important names were. Suddenly, images and voices grew loud in her mind, swirling around in a dizzying fashion. Then, she was in a familiar scene. The prefect and Snape were talking about her. " The girls name," the prefect was saying, "that is all you need, right?"

Snape nodded, " Once I have her name, I can make that potion you need." Sakura's eyes widened.
The prefect smiled a smile one wears when he is enjoying an execution. " The girl's name... It's Sakura." Sakura watched in horror as Snape bowed low before him. Kabuto told him to rise and Snape left the room. Slowly she was drawn out of the memory and felt herself fall back into her own feet, that still rested upon the ground of the hufflepuff dormintory. Syaoran had told her once before that she had unawakened powers. Had what she seen possibly have been real? If it had, that meant Snape worked for the prefect, not the other way around. Sakura remembered seeing herself and Kyo leaving the room when the playback had begun, which suggested it was not a true memory. Talk about De ja vu, Sakura thought. It was as though she saw what had transpired in the Great Hall after she went to try out for Quidditch. Collecting the notes she had written, Sakura hastily left the common room.

-------------------------------

Dumbledore sat at the front of the Great Hall, Sakura at a long table therein. The very same table had been part of the background of her daymare.

"Happy Valentine's day," Dumbledore said cheerfully. He couldn't have known of the dark cloud over Sakura's sunny thoughts, but his bright voice still seemed misplaced to her. "The cupids Hagrid hired will deliver all of your notes to that special someone. On a darker note...I'm sorry to inform you that as long as the teachers are missing, you cannot go anywhere unplanned off campus or through the halls without a prefect. This is for your own safety."

Sakura saw Syaoran frown, but she knew he couldn't understand how terrible this news really was.. After seeing what she had, Sakura had to warn him about the ever-increasingly-disturbing Gryffindor prefect.

" House points have been calculated once more. First place: Gryffindor. Second place: Ravenclaw. Third place is a tie between Hufflepuff and Slytherin."

Sakura dashed o the Gryffindor table. Syaoran was blushing. " Sakura--"

She interrupted him. "I have to tell everyone something VERY important. This cannot wait!" Together, they snuck out of the dining hll as the cupids began their deliveries. Kyo followed.

"What's up?" Syaoran asked when somehow the whole group had managed to meet in Fai's office. Sakura wasn't sure how to say what was on her mind. " The prefect, Kabuto, he's different than we thought."

"Innocent?"

Sakura stood on top of on of the chairs. "No! Not innocent... More guilty. We had it wrong though, he doesn't work for Snape. Snape works for him."

"Are you sure," Syaoran asked, feeling no need at the moment to question how she had gotten the new information. Sakura nodded. The rest watched as Syaoran pondered in his mind what this meant. " All of you, from Gryffindor, act like nothing is different. Snape only knows that Sakura, Kyo and I are friends. No one else knows that you girls even interact with us, do they?"

Ami spoke, "We never really speak about them, do we?" The other girls, all of whom were in Gryffindor, not Ravenclaw with Ami, agreed.

Syaoran relaxed. "Good. If anything, this can work to our advantage. If Kabuto heads somewhere, tell him you are going the same direction, and he'll have to accompany you there, with that new "never alone" rule. See where he goes."

The rest nodded and headed back to breakfast in the chaos of gifts and letters before they were missed. "Sakura-chan," Syaoran said, " I don't want you to spy. Keep safe.Oh!" Sakura watched him pull out a box of chocolates. "Only for you, Valentine," He said.

Sakura hugged him happily. " Thank you!." He opened that cupid shoved into his hand. When he was done reading it, it looked like tears were in his eyes. Not of joy, of despair.

"What's wrong?" Sakura asked, fearing the worst. Maybe I shouldn't have included the part about remembering him, she thought. But, Syaoran wasn't upset about that. His tears were for how much she had lost.

"It's okay, Syaoran-kun. Whatever it is will turn out fine in the end. I'm sure we'll be alright."

Syaoran dried his eyes. Of course she was right, like always.

F&H Chapter 14: Ami joins the Gang!

The next Chapter was short so I thought I'd post it way early! Enjoy!

Chapter 14: Ami joins the Gang!

December passed quickly by, and there was still no sign of Snape. Syaoran realized there was nothing they could do if Snape had the feather until he was found. That said, the mystery of the feathers would have to wait. They had ran into Ami several times in two weeks and each time she was eager to inquire what they were up to.

With new year's eve beginning to approach, the three not being able to see Kurogane and Fai, they began to frequently write each other letter with the invisible ink. Sakura recieved one from Mokona and automatically said "thank you". Words rose onto the page, signed with the Hogwarts seal. "It's from Fai!"

Sakura read it to herself and then said aloud, "Mokona, Fai says that he and Kurogane have been in meetings everyday and they are sorry they can't spend time with us. He asks about the plan and says he'll be leaving on an errand. He should be back by the middle of January."

Mokona nodded; it already was aware of the trip Fai had planned in order to study deeper magic. It was a mystery however, as to what Fai planned to do with this knowledge, as it was no secret that he disliked using his gifts.

Sakura wrote a reply message, including the plan and her greetings. Laterm Sakura had been informed that somehow, Ami had gotten a hold of the letter. And then then stopped running into her throughout the corridors. Syaoran figured that Ami wouldn't know the password to reveal the secret ink, but worried nonetheless. He told everyone to form a "plan B" in case plan "A" failed. Plan A was to find Snape, and take the feather back forcefully. As they feared, the spy, as Syaoran called Ami, found out what they were scheming.

Kyo reassured Syaoran that Ami was in fact a "good guy." "You didn't trust me before, remember? And she hasn't done anything harmful like the Gryffindor prefect!" Kyo stopped now to think. " That prefect was suspicious, wasn't he?"

"What?" Syaoran asked, not hearing the mutter.

"Nothing."

Since they couldn't find Ami, they decided to spend the rest of their time outside in the snow. Yusuke, Sakura Haruno, Rukia, and Ino began returning to school, hoping to make a head start on assignments. It was obvious that Ami had told the rest of them about the "Voldemort fighter groups'" plans.

"Well," Kyo said, "at least they are on our side. They swore to never tell anyone else about our secret if we would only let them help us, so.... I gave in."

Syaoran groaned. " Great. Oh well, the more the merrier?"

Ami admitted that she had looked into their claims and found evidence that Harry's final attack may not have been enough to kill Voldemort. " I want to help if I can!"

--------------------------------------------------------------

New Years came, followed by fireworks and food. The group longed for school to begin. Maybe Snape would come back. After all, he wasn't there for Halloween, so maybe... just maybe... he had left to avoid all the holidays. Kyo disagreed with this theory, however, and believed that Snape was out rounding up the death eaters to see his master rise to power. The group knew that they knew the sorcerer's plans in a nut shell, and that hey had been able to discipher most of the mysteries, but the frame of the jig saw puzzle escaped them.

The whole situation was driving them crazy. When school began the next day,
things should have returned to normal. But they didn't.

F&H chapter 13: Quoth the Raven, "never more."

Chapter 13: Quoth the Raven, "Never More."

Sorry for the gap between updates! Lucky for you, this chapter is mostly review over what you know, what you don't. Oh and a new character is on her way!!!!

When they reached Syaoran at the Gryffindor tables, (even the nosy prefect had gone home for the holidays), Syaoran was wearing his armor. Sakura was still wearing her elegant gown, and quite frankly, she was dazzling. Kyo had said, "You look nice," but now Syaoran trumped him.

"You- Look amazing Sakura-chan!"

Sakura blushed and told him his armor fit perfectly.

"You didn't have to wear it right now," Kyo said impatiantly. Nothing was going the way he had planned. Syaoran noticed Kyo's discomfort and quickly changed the subject.

Turning to Kyo, Syaoran asked him if he'd made any strides in gathering information. Kyo answered with a nod and retrieved a folded peice of parchment from within the concealment of his shoe. "It's a page from an investigation book that details the various causes of skin abnormalities. According to this, the mark Sakura-chan noticed on Snape's arm could be one of four things. A: A scar that just happens to resemble a snake and a skull; B: a disturbing birth mark; C: a creepy tatoo; and D, the most probable and dangerous, the symbol that all V-- I mean-- You-know-who's followers bear."

Sakura and Syaoran looked at each other, and Kyo sighed. " So, is it 'A', 'B', 'C', or 'D'?"

Syaoran ignored the obvious question. Instead he said, "No, I don't know 'who'.
Who is that leader you spoke of?"

Kyo shivered. " That's right, you don't know. You-know-who is the greatest sorcerer alive. The only thing is, he's a murderous fiend. Are you positive that Snape's after you're memories?"

Sakura nodded. " I know he must be after something. It's only logical to suspect an evil person such as he would want more power . I'm not entirely sure of anything, especially Snape's unusual death, but I'm convinced that he and this You-know-who are after the magical properties of my feathers-- I mean, memories shaped as feathers."

Kyo recalled when Syaoran told him in private that Sakura lost her memory from a pact with a witch. Her memories took the form of feathers and scattered across many worlds. The reason she was so badly injured before was that, each time she remembers a part of her past that involves Syaoran, the witch erases that memory. Because Sakura fought to have the memory remain in tact, the lost fight took it's toll both physically and mentally.

He had smiled then and told him, "told you it was not me."

Kyo looked at them now in puzzlement. "What magical properties do your memories
hold, exactly?"

Syaoran answered. " Her feathers have unique power that could enhance a person's
present abilities or bestow them with strange new powers. If some one evil gets a hold of them, it could easily end in disaster."

Kyo began to nervously laugh. "Then he has to be one of You-know-who's followers-- Snape, I mean."

Sakura didn't understand. " If he's the greatest sorcerer ever, why would he need my feathers-- and another thing! If Snape was evil, what advantage would it serve to pretend to be dead?"

Kyo shook his head, deciding to solve her points. "When Harry Potter thought he destroyed You-know-who, I believe that he only crippled him, and made him deathly weak. Now, he has only the capacity to be strong, but not the health. As for your other question, maybe Snape wanted us to think he was dead so that he could disappear."

Sakura rested her chin in her hands. "Then why did he come back to life, and erase the memories of those who knew of his 'death'? If he wanted us to believe he was dead, he could have easily slipped away then and there . He would not have tried to make it so obvious with a sign on his class door to keep others away. He would have wanted us to see the evidence of his death, and he certainly wouldn't have erased our memories!"

Kyo and Syaoran exchanged glances. She did have a point. Kyo groaned, "all this nonsense is hurting my head. The point is that Snape is missing now, soooo.... maybe he messed up and decided disappearing would be better than dying. Or something."

"Oh- before I forget! Thanks for the chocolate, Syaoran-kun," Sakura said suddenly.

Syaoran turned pink. "H- how did you know those were from me?"

The two began to converse and Kyo rolled his eyes. "Oh brother." Leave it to Sakura to break the intense mood.

"Did you say something?" Syaoran asked him through gritted teeth.

Kyo laughed. " I'm challenging you to take your mind off of worries and join me in a game of wizard's chess."

Syaoran accepted. He was white, Kyo black.

*********************************************************

Syaoran instructed his knight to move in front of a pawn. Kyo pushed a pawn forward. The game then continued until Kyo only had his knight, king, queen, and a pawn left. Syaoran meanwhile commanded a bishop, castle, king, and two pawns.

Kyo was about to take a pawn with his queen, but saw Syaoran's castle horizantally behind it and decided to avoid the risk. Instead, he took out Syaoran's bishop. Syaoran turned his castle and moved it toward Kyo's king. "Check." He announced.

Kyo moved his knight backward so that he was one step ahead of his king. Syaoran moved his castle, taking out Kyo's knight and it Kyo grinned unexpectedly.

"Check," Syaoran said in triumph. Then he realized his mistake. Kyo's king moved to the side, capturing the castle.

Syaoran moved his pawn forward. Kyo immediately slided his queen to the pawn's place, taking it out of the game. Syaoran's last pawn moved forward from his side and stood directly across from Kyo's queen. Kyo smiled and easily knocked the pawn down with his queen. With only his king left, Syaoran went for revenge and cut down Kyo's queen. He saw the trap a second too late.

Kyo said, "check," and moved his remaining knight to land on Syaoran's king's square. "Check mate."

Syaoran's eyes widened in surprise; Kyo did not finish his move. Instead, he kept the knight suspended over the king's space.

"What's up?"

Kyo knocked over the king and Sakura applauded.

"There's someone standing behind me, isn't there?"

Syaoran straightened and peered over Kyo's shoulder. "Yep."

Kyo stood and turned around. A girl with hair as blue as her robes was staring at him. A ravenclaw.

" I overheard you three talking about Voldemort." She said.

Sakura frowned at the accusation. "Who?"

The girl raised an eyebrow. "Voldemort."

Kyo whispered. "You-know-who."

"We're not from around here," Syaoran said appologetically.

She nodded. "Of course. Your parents are muggles, correct?"

Kyo answered for them. "That's right. My names Kyo and these are Sakura-chan and Syaoran-kun."

"Ami," the girl replied.

"Ami, why were you listening in on our conversation?"

She folded her arms. " I have to admit it wasn't too hard to overhear. So you believe Voldemort's alive? Never. I think you will need a little more evidence to support that theory." With that, Ami turned the other way and walked off.

"That was really weird, " Kyo commented.

Suspicious, Syaoran thought.

"Loser puts the game away," Kyo annouced slyly. Before he could protest, Kyo had already taken Sakura's hand and the two were skipping back to the Hufflepuff common room.

F&H Chaper 12- Hogs Meet

The winter days leading up to christmas passed swiftly, with still no sign of Snape. Kyo, Sakura, and Syaoran had persuaded Kurogane to chaperone as they went to the wizard market place Hogsmede.

"Daddy signed the papers!" Mokona whispered to Fai with a wink. Kurogane recognized the signs of conspiracy and growled loudly. "You better not be saying anything... weird!"

Each day, Kurogane took someone different with him to Hogsmede, untill everyone had bought a present for everyone else. Even Fai and Kurogane himself went christmas shopping when the three kids had finished.

Long before, the skulls, bats and other evil things had vanished from the castle with the wave of a wand. Now the only decoration that remained from Halloween were the Christmas lights that hung in Fai's office. Trees from the Forbidden Forest with snowy icing could be found at every turn. Each tree had its own ornaments and lights, but the only kind of pine tree was worth anything to the students: the tree that could be found in each dormintory. Santa only came to those trees.

Syaoran was sitting by the fire in the main hall one especially cold day, when a boy older than him named Colin asked him a question. "How does Santa know what all the house's passwords are?"

Syaoran looked at him in puzzlement. He was about to say something when Fai jumped out from behind a christmas tree. "He has spies everywhere!"

Colin gulped, recalling the song, "Santa Clause is coming to town." That song gave him the creeps!

Then, the longest night of the year came: Christmas eve. Sakura slept soundly that night while Kyo stayed wide awke in his room. He had bought Sakura's gift weeks before, but was beginning to have qualms.Thinking about the next morning, he envisioned the expression that would spread over Sakura's face when she opened the brown package containing her gift. Comforted by the image, he slowly fell asleep.

Inside the Griffindor dormintory however, Syaoran was awake even still, studying hexes and spells. Earlier that year, Fai had purchased Syaoran's wand for him. The wand now lit up as he spoke, "lumos." With this new power at his side, he hoped to retrieve Sakura's feather easier. The group knew that her feathers usually came with a fight, and though he was unsure if Snape posed a threat, he would be sure to protect Sakura at any cost. Syaoran continued to study until he fell asleep, fully clothed, with the book "Advanced Hexes and magic," open to page 156 on his head.

Sakura woke up after what was a good night's rest. She stood, and tied back the window drapes. Pushing the window open, a cool breeze fluttered around her face and playfully tossed her hair. the cold, white landscape outside was many inches high! She couldn't wait to run in the snow. Quickly, she grabbed the clothes she was planning on wearing and rushed down the hall. She was already down stairs when Kyo woke up. Sakura was surprised to see how few presents were under the tree, regarding how many Hufflepuff students there were, but then she remembered that she and Kyo were about the only Hufflepuffs who had stayed for the Holidays. Everyone else was enjoying their christmas at home.

Sakura checked the presents. Two were from Syaoran, one was from Kyo, two were from Kurogane, and two were from Fai. The last gift was from herself. Kyo descended the stairs sleepily. He wore a sweater the color of a peppermint stick and his pants were a cheery green. "You look nice this morning," Kyo told her, after he was certain they were alone in the common room.

Sakura grinned. He wasn't the only one in the christmas spirit. Sakura was wearing a red dress, and her short hair curled about her face in twisting locks. "Thanks," Sakura replied. "You look nice too."

Kyo turned red in the cheeks and Sakura led him to the tree. First, she opened the gift from Fai. Inside she found a new feather quill. Finding the card, she read: "It reminded me of you because it's like one of your memory feathers! This quill helps you remember what you study and forget. You can use this on tests!"

Sakura smiled gratefully. She usually forgot many things, even when she did study. Putting it aside, Sakura asked Kyo what he got from Fai. Kyo held up a pair of orange mittens.

"Aw! Like your kitten paws! Put them on!" Sakura encouraged. Hesitantly, Kyo fitted them on. He was surprised by their warmth!

"Kyo!" Sakura warned, pointing at the mittens. There were on fire!

Kyo turned around and blasted the flames into the fireplace. He was astounded. "These mittens allow me to manipulate fire?"

Sakura nodded. " I guess those will come in handy!"

Kyo laughed loudly. " I always was a fire kind of guy!"

Sakura began to unwrap a present from Kurogane. Underneath the layers of tissue paper, Sakura dug out a sword. "Phweee!!!"

"What?" Kyo asked at the terrified sound.

Sakura directed her index finger to the katana. Kyo pulled out an identical sword from his own box. "Wow."

Sakura grasped the sword at its hilt, viewed the blade, and quickly returned it to its sheath. Then, she moved on to Syaoran's gift. Inside the box, she found a winter gown to color of snow and ice. It was richly decorated with pearls and lined with lace. "Oh Syaoran-kun!"

Kyo's veins buldged with jealousy. He violently shredded the paper covering his gift from Syaoran and found a jar of invisible ink. Kyo grabbed a piece of spare parchment from the table behind him, and took out his quill. Sakura dashed up the stairs, eager to try on the new dress.

Kyo wrote, "Thank you," on the paper, but nothing appeared on the page. Curiously, he read the card that cam with it.

"In order to read the invisible ink, say what you wrote."

Feeling a bit silly, Kyo said, "Thank you." The words on the letter he had been writing slowly turned black. Kyo read the next line on the card.

"What you just said is now the password. Say it when you have completed writing and the rest will show up. If you write a word on the back and say it, that will make the words revanish."

Kyo took his peice of paper and wrote "Your welcome" on the back. Saying it aloud, the black ink seemed to evaporate from the parchment. It really works, Kyo thought.

"P.S, "Kyo read from the card. "You don't have to write the password on the front and back everytime you write. Only do so if you need to remember, or if you must change the passwords. For safety purposes, you may want to feed the the first letter you write to the fire."

Kyo did this and took out a new peice of paper and wrote a new note for Syaoran. "Thank you," Kyo said awkwardly. The words he had written appeared. " You're welcome..." The words disappeared. Kyo stared at the scroll and then at the jar of ink.

"Are you talking to someone, Kyo?"

He looked up, and in that moment, saw an angel.

Sakura was wearing a beautiful dress. The one that Syaoran had given to her.

"Is someone here?" Sakura asked.

Kyo shook his head. "No. Just talking to myself."

"How do I look?" Sakura asked as she approached him.

Kyo blushed. Radient, beautiful, cute, gorgeous, wonderful, angelic. What was he supposed to say? "Good! You look really good in that dress, Sakura-chan."

"Thanks! I hope Syaoran-kun thinks so. What's that, Kyo-kun?"

"Invisible ink, from Syaoran."

Sakura's eyes widened. "Really?"

"It works too!" Kyo said.

Sakura passed him the present from herself. Kyo peered into the bag and pulled from it a peice of fabric. His face brightened up. "An orange sash! I was
needing one!"

Sakura's own face fell. "It's a scarf..."

Kyo flushed. "Of course it's a scarf! How did you know that I cant stand the cold on my neck?"

Sakura grinned, proud of her own observation. "You always wear turtleneck shirts."

He inspected it. "You made this yourself?"

"Yup!"

Kyo's chest swelled with pride. Ha! Take that, Syaoran, Kyo thought.

"I'm glad you like it, because I made Syaoran the same thing!"

Curse you Syaoran!

Sakura interuppted his angry thoughts. "What time is it?"

"8 am, "Kyo answered. "Here," he offered her the gift he had hand wrapped. Carefully, Sakura scratched at the corners of the tape that sealed the wrapping paper together. Making sure she did not rip the paper itself, Sakura removed the covered box. The box contained a necklace with a charm hung by a silver chain. The charm was a diamond elegantly cut in a way that reflected the light in brilliant spectrums. Sakura clasped it round her neck and admired the colors that danced from it like and aurora borealis. Her face mirrored what Kyo had pictured it would the night before. It went quite well with her new dress.

"Thank you!" Sakura said enthusiastically.

Kyo replied by blushing an even darker shade of pink. "You look marvelous in it." Kyo was glad that she liked it.

"We should get to breakfast," Sakura told him. "I'd like to see Syaoran and see what he got! What did you buy for him?"

Kyo gathered his sword and things, putting them into a plastic bag. "I bought him defensive charmed armor."

Sakura blushed. Now he's my knight in shining armor! She thought.

Kyo shifted uncomfortably. What's she thinking about? Scratch that, Kyo thought miserably. I already know. "Note to self," he said softly under his breath, "There's no way I can win Sakura's heart if I keep making Syaoran look better than me!" He started towards the picture of Sir Cadegon. Sakura didn't follow. "Come on Sakura-chan."

Sakura was rummaging under the tree. "Wait!" she said. "It looks like theres one more present to unwrap. Look!"

Kyo walked back over to the tree. There was one last present beneath it. "Who's it for?" Kyo asked. "Who's it from?"
" It doesn't say."

Kyo regarded the box with apprehension. "Careful," he cautioned, " it may be a trap."

Sakura nodded and lifted the top from the small box. "Oh!" She exclaimed. "Chocolate!"

"Don't eat it!" Kyo warned.

But it was too late. Sakura had already popped a dark chocolate into her mouth.

Kyo squinted as she did so, expecting something horrible to happen. Change of skin color, series of coughs, something!
But the only thing that followed was Sakura opening her mouth and swallowing a toffee. Kyo watched helplessly. "It could be poisoned!"

"Why would Syaoran-kun poison it?" Sakura asked with her mouth full.

"You mean it was from Syaoran-kun?" Kyo asked. "Why did you say it was anonymous?"

Sakura recalled. "Well, I could just tell it was from Syaoran. It was just a feeling, you know?"

Kyo shook his head. Maybe now was the time to accept that he just didn't stand a chance against Syaoran.
