Oh that sounds boring. :/ I hate classes that are so incredibly simple, but the other students find it hard or confusing...it's like "HOW STUPID ARE YOU???"
I do think photography is an art. >< Maybe it's because I like taking pictures...but it is indeed an art. You need to get angles right, good set-ups, lighting, etc. And it's even harder if you want to use a professional camera that deals with you developing the photos yourself! Getting the contrasts correct is really hard. :/ So yeah. There ya go.

For the thought...it must be, just look at the photograph section of DeviantArt.com. Also, they have photography classes that teach you how to take a picture (things like angles, how much space around the object, lighting, focus, etc.) so there is skill to taking a good picture (I'd wager at least, I never took a photography class because I already know how to use a camera XD)
