Beats what a distant cousin of mine did once. Apparently, when told to light a campfire, he decided to load it up with lighter fluid (or something to that nature) than necessary and lit it up without a second thought. Like you, he didn't burn his skin, but he did end up with a missing set of eyebrows for a while.
