It's more like how mutants are treated in X Men I think. They're both shunned and treated horribly by humans and also kidnapped and forced to become living weapons. But there have been some humans where were nice to gijnkas but yeah Gijinkas tried to stay hidden from Human Society (mainly to avoid being hunted and experimented on)

(that wasn't really aimed @ u but I think you seem pretty active and I've been spamming v PGR account 4 ages with a profile for my OC Amber. They told me that they were looking for detailed backgrounds and I was checking other gijinkas' backgrounds 2 get some inspiration.
