Good to see more people doing this! I enjoyed the way you structured this post. Your commentary on the Tales of the Abyss episode is fun to read. :)
The StarFox 64 reference got me to thinking about which God General would fit with which Star Wolf Team member. With my limited experience watching the anime, I say this:
-- Wolf = Legretta
-- Leon = Sync
-- Pigma = Largo
-- Andrew = Dist
Sorry, Arietta. (Asch doesn't even really count anymore, so I don't feel as guilty about excluding him.)
Considering how it ended, I don't really want a sequel of Abyss. I'm perfectly content with my theorizing of who that was, and I think enough has been resolved without exploring too much more of this particular Tales universe. Dawn of the New World feels like a huge letdown after Symphonia, not to mention that it's a sequel to a prequel (seriously, WTF.)
That being said, if they do absolutely have to make a sequel, the only right thing to do would be to make Dist the big bad. I haven't finished the Nebilim sidequest yet, but I hear he actually lives through it. I imagine you could milk out a pretty decent plot from him discovering some kind of way to harness fonon frequencies to actually fully resurrect a complete, memory-included replica. Plus the eventual reveal that Nebilim probably didn't want to be revived in the first place would just be more motivation for fabulous bastardry.
I can understand where you're coming from. Seeing what's happened to ToS (though it's still one of my favorite games), it would be a shame if Abyss went down that path. I would like an OVA, at the least, though.
...If only for the potential of moar Jade. >>; (Among others.)

I see. I'm just going with what I saw on the subs themselves. I didn't actually look up the names, lol. But those are much better, anyway. Thanks for the correction.

At least I’m one to contain my fangasming for it in public. ^_~
Does that make me the BL shoulder devil to your shoulder angel!? :D Although I'm kind of failing in that department right now... I have yet to catch up with the first season of JR. orz

@Kei:
Yeah, I figured. I'd have never picked up on Mythos by listening, but it fits the story perfectly. ^^

Also, this is petty, but:
x Mute
o Mythos
x Fakia
o Fakir
:P
