I'm quite happy with how the US election turned out. It's just a thing I've been saying since before yesterday. The entire world was - still is - watching how this election unfolds, and as a Canadian it's easy for me to say that whatever happens in the US will quite directly affect our lives. If the US prospers, we all prosper; if it tanks, we're all hosed.
I only gave Kei the snippet since she had probably heard the whole thing from me many times elsewhere. My full statement is that you guys (people of the United States) have been given a grand opportunity to change a lot of things and do them justice; the rest of the world hopes you do. Like, really, really hopes you do.
With that said . . . we're all hoping that you guys (the people of the United States) don't screw up now.

I feel so much better than I have in a long time, finally knowing someone of principle and character is going to be our president, and that for the first time since I started voting (2000) my voice was counted.
