    Yeah, there seems to be some unbalances in Brawl, some of which I can't quite put my finger on. But, tis quite fun all the same.
    Funny thing is, I've been playing as Meta Knight. He's just fun. And Pit, I've grown attached to him too. Can't be because of all the advantages you mentioned. Nope, no possible way whatsoever.

    @Desbreko:

    I suppose you're right about Marth. His jump recovery can always comes through in the clutch around aerial characters (as can Counter) and his sword style does provide for adequate defense all around. However, I still feel that Meta Knight can be hardcore abused. Case in point: In a one-on-one match on PictoChat, I stayed aerial for about two minutes game time and continuously attacked without technically hitting the ground (though jump canceling had to happen a few times). And I'm not even that good with him.

    And there is no "seems like" about Ivysaur. He's cheap, plain and simple. I suppose there had to be some form of combo ability with Red (since all characters have it in some regard), but that's friggin' ridic.

    I've not played with all the characters, but I agree that there seems to be a bit more balance to the game in terms of how characters were set up with the ones I've played and fought against. But I still don't feel right about Pit and Meta Knight. That's opinion's hardcore sticking, lol.

    Pit and Meta Knight certainly have very good recoveries but then again so do Peach and Samus (bomb jumping and grappling beam ftw). I haven't really found that aspect of them unbalanced, you just have to be good at edge guarding. That said, Pit does seem very easy for beginners to use due to his fast, multi-hit attacks and excellent recovery abilities.

    And I've taken on Meta Knight's aerials with Marth. I may not be able to jump as high but he has to come down some time and Marth's aerial and upward ground attacks are very good. Marth has a range and power advantage with his sword and he can come in from a lot of different angles due to his aerials covering the full 360° around him. The main thing is just not to try and chase someone playing hit-and-run like that.

    Ivysaur does seem cheap as hell with a couple attacks that you can just mash the button and wrack up 30% or more damage because your opponent simply can't do anything. I haven't figured out a good way to get out of that yet.

    But overall the balance feels much better than Melee. There are way fewer characters that I've used and thought, "Wow, this character just plain sucks." Overpowered characters have been toned down and underpowered characters got some nice buffs. Marth took a hit but I'm loving Pikachu again, for example.

    Totally no way I could've known that stuff. As such, I stubbornly cling to my previous statements.

    @SomeGuy:

    Correction, dearie. My brain has been "internetted" for quite some time. If you were to see some of my IM conversations with friends, you would think me a completely different person. I simply know the time and place to use it. ;)

    Also, I don't personally have Brawl. I don't even have a Wii. But I have three friends that have both, so it works out, lol.
