You should replace all your glass windows with bullet-resistant lexan. o3o
When I lived in my apartment while I was going to university, we had people break in twice (I had nothing stolen cuz I always took stuff home with me on weekends and holidays), so I can sympathize with the sense of violation, but I can't imagine what it feels like to have a shot fired into my own home. :/
Well I know you're not after sympathy and I agree, writing or talking about it can really help. And again... I'm just really glad you and your mom weren't hurt. ^^
