lol I understand you there, I use to have some people that I really adored their art, but I wanted to to do better, but since I don't see them anymore, I don't know what happen....T_T XD

I think it has less to do with cons and more to being a judge. Kinda like moderating a challenge here on theo. I could be a bit more biased if someone were to, say, enter with my favorite character, or draw one of mine as fanservice or something. But something like, DeviantArt, holding a contest where there are higher stakes they have to be more objective. I think the issue was, it meant more to me than it did to the rest of them and maybe my desperation came out. Or maybe I came off as too confident and cocky and being a bad sport? I tried to be polite and stuff...

Lolz XD Well, yeah, that might've been what they were looking for. She's just always been a better artist than I and she even does comissions and stuff. I guess she's like, my rival, but also my... inspiration? Well, not really, but like, one of those people you look up to but want to surpass...

Still I really liked your design from most of the entries I saw, I think yours was nice and simple, and it would make the perfect tag, so I don't see they didn't give you a placement. If you bothered them to much, it's not a reason to not place you. >:{

Yes, I've been hearing that from everyone who saw the entries, but I guess it's just that I didn't have what they were looking for... =/ Or I bothered them too often about when they'd announce the results. Well, I asked once and they said they'd take a while. then early registration was getting closer to closing and I asked and they said "You should get your pass and if you win, we'll refund your money." It'd be nice to know exactly which of hers was the winner so I can figure out what it had that mine didn't =/

As for the badge design contest... I didn't win... I didn't even place. The winner was my friend who, since I've known her in high school, has always been a better artist than I. Still... even if I hadn't gottan 1st place, would've been nice to be considered on the same level... It'd be nice to know why I wasn't chosen, but there's nothing I can do... *sigh* And I had already forgotten about all that, too... =-_-;=
