I got one of these a long time ago for commenting privileges. Some first post to comment on.. but I suppose I'd have more to say if I were in the actual community. We'll "see" about that. (probably not too soon)
Yeah, politics are a bother. If someone says something, I usually mention something to myself or out loud (as in this case). But as you say, this place is just about your "random mundane life" and includes a lot more than that. That's why I read it. In the online world, I dig blogs because you find out a lot about a person within him- or herself in their own time, without having to talk with them personally somehow. ..not that 1 on 1 communication is so darn hard. They both have their places and moments.

(False war pretenses and staying in bed with health insurance companies are my major beefs, so I'm not jumping on the supposed Bush-hating bandwagon that was speeding by through town.)
