I expect it's because child!Tati is pretty much a blank slate, so she sees everything without any of the snark she picks up from the next 13-ish years living in the slums.
For once, no. (That's a surprise, isn't it?!) I just think it's funny that she goes from being really sweet and naive to being sarcastic and...naive. *brick'd* I guess it's just "growing up", but still - child!Tati is obscenely adorable.
Mmmmmhmmmm...I can at least hold out vague hope. They didn't destroy them...just...storage...=___=...
So I re-read this (because I'm in class and very bored) and I'm like "Tati was SO ADORABLE as a kid". And I think it's funny that she turned out like she did.

D'aaaaw. :D Yeah, we're definitely going to have to flesh out Tati's backstory, and I'll probably end up writing a story where she and the Doctor finally find out everything about her.
