The whole St. Nicholas story really fascinates me. I found out a while back that he's actually the patron saint of prostitutes because he gave gold to three (I think three) girls so they wouldn't have to be sold to a brothel.
Oh snap... Well that does change things. What you should do then is consider those who are around you now who aren't Christians. Life is brief and we don't know when it'll be our turn. You know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, but some of them don't. Share that with them that they would come to know Jesus and have everlasting life in heaven.

Well, it's not exactly a religious holiday... Or at least, not anymore (I'm not sure if it ever really wasXD) In any case, St. Nicholas was a holy man who gave a lot to other people and that's where the tradition of giving gifts on this day comes from. That's about all I know...^^; It's a big commercial holiday around these partsXD
Ooh, St. Nicholas gifts. I read a little bit about St. Nicholas Day this year but all I really learned was the date XD So I'm gonna be nosy and pick your brain :P Is it a specific religious holiday?
Ah girl! I'm glad to hear your Christmas was nice. *hugs* Mine was too, though it was different for me this year as well. I had to snap myself out of the "Christmas blues" because, c'mon, if I'm really grateful for what I do have, then where's there room to be upset? That's me, not saying you went through that... Also, yay for getting loads of books for Christmas!:D I got some books too (except those weren't Christmas gifts but St. Nicholas gifts which I got on the 4th of December:P But I don't get gifts on Christmas so yeahXD)
