Point taken, I just mean there's definitely help she can take advantage of. Especially since she has a kid. Depression runs in my family and I had a serious problem with cutting, and I got help. I just don't understand why someone wouldn't get help, especially if they have a kid, and especially when that kid is my friend. I don't know, Loralei and I have very similar lives so I tend to take things that happen to her rather personally I guess.

I know you see this from a different perspective, since it concerns your friend, so I don't have any first-hand experience of any of this. I just believe that people deserve more understanding that they generally get in life. ^^; But its also true that some people are very messed up and can't recover no matter what. :/

There are no medical issues. The last time she tried to kill herself was because a boyfriend broke up with her and her daughter (then in second grade) was the one who had to clean up the blood. She's always been like this. I think she has mental health issues but she won't see a doctor.

Certainly, people with problems need help, but they also need more people to understand them. Is your friend's mom doing drugs and trying to kill herself just because she hates her life, or are there also medical issues going on here? I have a friend whose mom committed suicide last year, but she'd been living with a very painful condition for a long time, and we all understand why it just overwhelmed her in the end. The reasons people abuse themselves aren't always so clear cut.

I definitely agree that the grandparents are projecting anger and hatred that makes no sense at all, though. There's a lot of things people do that makes no sense that I have a hard time understanding.

I just heard from Loralei, her mom is now in the ICU. And pissed that Loralei called 911. Yeah, because she's going to walk in, see you dying, and just leave you there. Grow up. Be an adult.

Good speech! No seriously, I agree with everything you said. I am so sorry or all of those kids... Man, imagine being one of them...=/ Drugs ruin so much
