Tumblr can be a mess at times XD I have three blogs there. The one I use mainly is just for me to reblog pretty things, then I have an art blog for things I have made, and an animal crossing themed one that I never used as much as I planned. I'd go with keeping your main one professional (even if you don't use it regularly) and then have a fun fangirly one too on the side ^^

You could always just make a separate new blog? I did for my AC blog. Not sure how strict tumblr is on that.
