Re:Zero goods from Japan: Japanese search terms, price tiers and spotting bootlegs

With Re:Zero deep into its Season 3 arc, a new wave of prize figures, plush and acrylic goods has been showing up on Japanese shelves. A lot of it is made for the Japanese market first, so the widest selection sits on Japanese secondhand and prize marketplaces. A few notes for anyone hunting Rem, Ram or Emilia from overseas.

Search in Japanese

English titles find only a slice of the listings. These terms pull up much more on Mercari, Suruga-ya and Yahoo Auctions:

  • リゼロ (Re:Zero)
  • レム (Rem), ラム (Ram), エミリア (Emilia)
  • エミリア フィギュア (Emilia figure) is a good search for scale and prize figures

Rough price tiers (secondhand / prize, as of 2026)

  • Prize and kuji figures (Ichiban Kuji, Banpresto): about $5–$25. Mass-produced arcade and lottery prizes, and the most affordable display pieces.
  • Acrylic stands and keychains: about $4–$20. The lightest things to ship, good for filling out a box.
  • Plush and cushions: about $8–$45. Rem and Ram plush show up a lot.
  • Scale figures (1/7, 1/8): $60–$200+ new, $30–$120 used. Buying used brings the price down.

As a rule of thumb, Mercari has the deepest stock of used prize figures, plush and acrylic goods; Suruga-ya is a secondhand chain with graded condition notes that works well for scale and boxed figures; Yahoo Auctions is where rare, discontinued or bundled lots turn up.

Bootlegs

Good Smile Company (Nendoroids and scale figures) and Banpresto (the prize line) are the two maker names you will see most. The secondhand market does carry bootlegs, so compare the box, the maker logo and the seller's photos with the manufacturer's product page, and be wary of prices far below the usual range for that figure.

Getting it out of Japan

Most of these sellers only ship inside Japan, so you need someone in Japan to buy for you. Since figures and acrylic goods tend to come from different sellers, it usually makes sense to let several items arrive in Japan and ship them together in one box instead of paying international postage several times. For US buyers, the $800 de minimis exemption no longer applies: since August 29, 2025, parcels of any value go through customs and pay applicable duties, taxes and fees.
