Spy x Family goods from Japan: Japanese search terms, prize figure lines and Ichiban Kuji

Spy x Family still has a huge merch output in Japan, and a lot of it never gets an overseas release: crane-game prizes, Ichiban Kuji lottery prizes, anime cafe collabs and pop-up store goods. The good news is that much of it resurfaces on Japanese secondhand marketplaces at low prices. Some notes for anyone collecting Anya, Yor, Loid or Bond from outside Japan.

Search in Japanese

English titles only catch part of the listings. These terms pull up far more on Mercari, Suruga-ya and Yahoo Auctions:

  • スパイファミリー (Spy Family) or SPY×FAMILY
  • アーニャ (Anya), ヨル (Yor), ロイド (Loid), ボンド (Bond)
  • キメラ (Chimera, Anya's stuffed toy)
  • ぬーどるストッパー (noodle stopper figures)
  • 一番くじ (Ichiban Kuji), ぬいぐるみ (plush), アクリルスタンド (acrylic stand)

Adding 中古 (used) or 未開封 (unopened) narrows a search quickly.

What the lines are

  • Noodle stopper and Q posket: the Banpresto / Bandai Spirits prize lines. They were made in large quantities, so used copies are cheap and easy to find. This is where most people start with an Anya figure.
  • Nendoroid: Good Smile Company made Nendoroids of Anya and Yor. New stock turns up on Amazon Japan; out-of-print ones on Suruga-ya and Mercari.
  • Plush: Anya, Bond and the Chimera toy show up as UFO-catcher prizes and mascots, often sold in bundles.
  • Ichiban Kuji: store lottery prizes. The last-one prize (ラストワン賞) is the one collectors chase, and it can climb on the resale market. Yahoo Auctions is a good place for full prize sets.
  • Acrylic stands, keychains, pin badges: light, cheap to ship and good for filling out a box.

As a rough guide: Mercari for cheap used figures and plush (typical used Anya figures around $3-12), Suruga-ya for condition-graded stock and out-of-print prize figures, Amazon Japan for sealed current releases, and Yahoo Auctions for rare lots and event goods.

Saving on cost

Sellers often list a plush, a keychain and an acrylic stand as one lot, which works out cheaper per piece. Prize figures usually cost much less than scale statues. Shipping is a big part of the total: international postage is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so a boxed figure costs more to send than plush or acrylics, and putting several small items in one box helps. For US buyers, the $800 de minimis exemption no longer applies: since August 29, 2025, parcels of any value go through customs and pay applicable duties, taxes and fees.

Before you buy used

Compare the seller's photos with the maker's product page, check for the Banpresto or Good Smile logo on the box, and read the condition notes. Suruga-ya grades its used stock, which helps.
