This is a preview of my new story I am writing, called Amethyst. So far I have 3 chapters written. Let me know if you like it and I will be sure to type up more, including the rest of chapter one.
1. The Nightmare/Dream
As I lay there in my bed, shortly after midnight, I had a strange sense that someone else was in the room. It had come about an hour before, leaving me restless ever since. Why wouldn't the just go away? Well, whoever it was was getting quite annoying just by being present. Please don't laugh at my nonchalance of the situation, it was only a dream, after all. Besides, I'm rarely scared by much of anything at all, mostly more annoyed than anything.
I opened my eyes, prepared to demand they show themselves,since they obviously weren't prepared to leave anytime soon. What I wasn't prepared for, was to see the intruder-the most breathtaking blond guy I had ever seen-sitting on the edge of my bed, staring down into my eyes intently. I drew a quick gasp as my eyes widened with shock, amazement, and a twinge of fear. Call me crazy, but for some unknown reason I was actually scared of this blue-eyed angel. I sat up abruptly, trying to stifle a scream as I said in a vo ice, shaky with fear, "Who...Who are you?" He just smiled at me sweetly and started smoothing down my long, dark brown hair, saying " Hush my darling... there is nothing for you to fear."
I sat there in a daze as he seduced me into a state of equanimity. Our eyes had been locked for no more than a few seconds, and already I was too hypnotized by his beauty to notice how close we had gotten. I no ticed when he brought his hand up slowly and gently places it on my cheek. He leanes in as if he were about to kiss me, but i noticed at the last instant, a dark look upon his face. He was still smiling of course, but it was more of an evil smirk now, then the kind, warming smile from before.As he placed his left hand on my shoulder, I noticed his head tilting to the side slightly... which was a weird position for a kiss if you ask me...
I awoke with a start, to the sound of a light tapping on my bedroom window. For a moment I was too scared to even move. So in light of the strange dream -or was it a nightmare? Although it seemed to real to have been either- that I had just had, I assumed it was just my mind playing tricks on me. I squeezed my eye tight shut and hoped that it would go away. It didn't. After a couple minutes the tapping sound at my window came again, only louder this time, more like a knock than a tap. So with a sigh, I got up and walked over to the window. I pulled back the long,red,velvet curtains and screamed, falling backwards as I jumped back away from the window.
A boy, about the same age as me, - and the guy from my dream ,no doubt – with adorable short black hair and what seemed to be a black tux – just as the other guy had – was staring in at me from outside my window. He was standing on the nearest tree branch. Looking quite annoyed, he tapped again on my window twice, with the back of his knuckle. The kid had on a sarcastic look, as if to say, “Uh, hello? I’m still out here ya know… Aren’t ya gonna let me in?”

Chapter 2: I "Loathe" Arranged Marriages...- Meet Your New Husband...James Sanders?
Izuki never thought that she would be able to get to sleep after she had gotten back into her room & climbed into her bed. But eventually it grew late, & the need for sleep simply took over. Izuki woke with a start in the morning, she looked around & noticed that her sisters were gone & started to panic. She quickly ran down the stairs while still in her nightgown & saw, when she reached the bottom of the steps, that her father,Ichigo,James,& a young & beautiful girl she had not yet met... were all gathered at the family Dining Room table, having breakfast. Izuki stormed over to her father without giving the others any notice. " Oh, Izuki! Finally up are you? We all waited for you but your sister & Elena here were growing a bit impatient.", he smiled, motioning towards the girl that she saw earlier as he spoke. The others were already half way through breakfast it seemed. When she look over at James, he flashed her a smile & she blushed, suddenly remembering that she was still in her nightgown & her hair was not yet put up, a total mess; or at least "she" thought it was.
" Now, run along Izuki, we have guests... go & make yourself a bit more presentable eh?" he smiled & she rushed back up the stairs, trying to cover her face with her hair as she went, as she was still blushing... When she was back in her room, she quickly picked out a simple & plain, but beautiful dress & put on her ruby necklace, & tied a ribbon in her hair after she had brushed it out. When she came back down the steps, James was simply in awe of her beauty. She approached her father & spoke with him quietly before she took her seat. "Father, where is Katrina?" she prompted"Do not worry Izuki, she is being taken care of by a well trusted servant. Ichigo will go & join them later so that you can have more time to yourself with our guest later..." he smiled reassuringly & she went & took her seat at the other end of the table, which she noticed was beside James...
He had just finished eating & looked up to meet her eyes as she sat down. "Hello, you must be Miss Izuki Carmella? I must say... you are the most beautiful sight I have ever seen...Allow me to introduce myself" he draws up her hand to kiss it & then looks up, holding her hand." I am the eldest prince of the Elfen Kingdom... My name is-" she cuts him off" James Sanders...? Nice to meet you..." she says, in an irritated tone & yanks her hand away. " Does that make me a psychic?" she smirks & starts eating her food. "Hmm no..." he leans over & puts an arm around her shoulder & scooting his chair closer to hers& whispers in her ear" That just makes you a very clever & sneaky little mouse..."
He smirks as she is taking a drink of her wine & nearly chokes, he leans back over leaving his arm around her. "Umm..." she coughs. finally clearing her throat"What uh... What do you mean by that sir?" she swallows & he looks directly at her smiling. " I "knew" I had heard something outside of your father's chamber last night... I had guessed it might have been you... Looks like i guessed right, eh Princess?" he smirks bringing his arm now down, to where it is around her waist & she jumps, getting chills all throughout her body & blushes." E-Excuse me! I'm finished with my breakfast...!" her plate is still half full & she takes it, quickly standing up & also grabs her glass, guzzling it down & then rushes off to the kitchen." Hmmm..." he smiles."interesting little Princess..." he scoots out from his chair casually & picks up his empty glass & plate. " If you would excuse me sir..." he says to the king, bowing slightly & then walks slowly to the kitchen. The sisters of the two are giggling, they are sitting beside each other.
In the kitchen, Izuki has emptied her plate into the trash & set her dishes in the sink. She sighs & leans back against the counter with her eyes closed, & does not hear James enter & quietly set his dishes next to hers. She opens her eyes slowly & jumps suddenly when she sees James, standing in front of her & he suddenly places his hands on her shoulders & captures her gaze. "Izuki... I may be four years your elder, but if there is such as love at first sight, then i have surely found it in you..." She blushes as she looks into his sparkling blue eyes. She notices now, being so close, that he has gorgeous short golden blond hair & remembering that he said he was the prince of the Elfen Kingdom, notices his elf ears. "Izuki... Your father intends for us to be married... and "I" intend for his plan to happen as well..." She is lost in his blue blue eyes... and for the moment, even forgets that arrogant & selfish comment has had just said to her...
Before she realizes it, he leans in and kisses her on the lips & she is taken by surprise. He lowers his arms & enfolds them tightly around her waist & kisses her again, holding her close & this time, not stopping & not letting go. Her face now turned completely red & she starts struggling to get away from his tight grip. She breaks free & he quickly grabs her wrist & with his other hand, grabs her chin & she angrily bites into it, leaving two bleeding puncture marks. He quickly releases his grip. " OWW!!GOD...DAMN!! IZUKI!!!" She quickly runs off, blood on her face,running slowly off her lips & onto her chin. James stands there, gripping his hand..."So... she's a "Vampire Princess" eh??", he thinks to himself,"This makes things abit more interesting..." he smirks, & against his own good judgement, decides to keep this little incident to himself. He goes & bandages up his hand on his own & when he returns, the king is gone & only Izuki's sister & his own are still sitting at the empty table." My Daddy said that you could take us out into the graden when you got back James.", Ichigo says with a huge smile. "Yay...lucky me...??", he smiles slightly but is dreading having to babysit his little sister & his future-wife's little sister, when he should be WITH her right now...convincing her to marry him... he sighs. "Fine...shall we go then girls?" Ichigo jumps up from her seat,knocking it over."Yay!!", she runs up to him & clings to his left arm, smiling. Meanwhile, his 14 year-old sister Elena,politely picks up the chair Ichigo knocked over when she ran to him. She then walks over & he hooks his right arm in hers as they walk out to the flower garden.
"Woooww!! I've never been allowed out here before!", Ichigo shouts, " Lookit all the pretty flowers sissy Elena!" She runs over to one bush of flowers, to the next patch, then runs & grabs James' & Elenas' hands, dragging them to all her new favorite flowers. "Wow.. this place really is beautiful..." Elena says softly. "Yea..." says James, his mind obviously on something else. "Oh!" she quickly grabs his hand & lifts it up." Brother, what happened to your hand?!" He winces & quickly thinks up a small lie, " Ow! Easyy, easy!" He pulls it away, gripping it with his other hand," It's nothing, don't worry about it... I just poked my hand on some rose thorns when i was out here with Izuki earlier... I couldn't get her favorite flower for her, but i guess you could say i gave her something else..." he smiled. He was such a bad liar, but his sister was just so gullible, she was believing every word that came out of his mouth." Oo!" Ichigo pops up in front of James & scares them. " Jamie was in da garden with sissy earlier?? Ooo! Didja kiss? Huh? Huh!? ", she is giggling & Elena is curious too, but covers her mouth, trying to conceal her laugh slightly. " Hmm...may-be...?", he laughs a little, enjoying this lie suddenly, more than the truth of what actually happened. " Usually with him that's a yes." Elena says, laughing abit." Aaalright, you caught me. Maybe we did kiss for a while...", he smirks."For a while?!" Elena asks, shocked and laughing more.
"Dats ok...Mommy & Daddy kissed too when mommy was still alive..." Ichigo says in an extremely calm tone as she shrugs and laughs. James suddenly gets a jolt of guilt and cringes." Ichigo.. Your mother died...?" James asks, & kneels down, putting a hand on her shoulder." Yea..." she looks down." That was just a year ago... I will never forget her... Her name was Katrina too. Just like my baby sister Katrina.",she smiles proudly. James leans down & hugs her, with a solomn look on his face. "Jamie? What's wrong?",she frowns."Didn't you already know about my mommy?" He looks at her." I didn't,no.. I just assumed she walked out on you when you were little or something... I just don't get how you can be so strong. It's only been a year... your not still sad about your mother? How can you be so brave...?" James asks." Well, I have Izuki. Izuki is my favorite sister...she was always there, even when mommy wasn't. As long as I have Izuki, I'll always stay happy...for her and mommy.", she smiles big. "So... you must really love your big sister huh Ichigo?",he asks. " Ee-yup!", Ichigo grins. "But of coures.. you've lived with her your entire life too...Ichigo, I love your sister too... But to know her as well as youi, I would have to pend the rest of my life with her..." James says. " Woow... How ya gonna do that Jamie?? " her eyes widen as he speaks, " WEl, I'm gonna marry her, Ichigo..." he says smiling. " Woow really?" she asks. " Yup, she will be my wife, some day soon..."
Up in her room Izuki looks at herself in the mirror." What have I done? No... that pompus prince! Who doe she think he is?! Just saying he's gonna marry me... Just like that huh? Well I don't think so! He deserved what he got! And if he ever touches me again he'll be seeing more of these two fangs!" she messes with her fangs, looking in the mirror & then suddenly gasps. " But what if he tells my father about what happened?! No wait... what if it was the other way around...?" she smirks evilly. " What id... "I" told my father that "he" intentionally hurt "me"? Yes! It's Perfect! And then my father wouldn't let him marry me!Hehehehehe..." , she laughs evilly to herself & then runs to the bathroom to clean off her face & then throws the washrga away in her room. When she is back in her room, she looks out into the flower garden through her window, which she often does at peaceful times, or just to enjoy their beauty... She notices James in the garden with that girl...-what was her name Elena?- and her sister.. Ichigo. What are they doing...? What is he upto? She wonders... She stars to head downstairs, only before she could even reach the garden, a servant comes & asks if she can help with the baby Katrina. Izuki ignored what she saw in the garden,for the moment, to go help with her baby sister. When she came into the room where Katrina & her "baby-sitter" were... she took a seat and was surprised to see that slowly, but surely, Katrina was "walking" towards her! She couldn't believe it. Katrina was already learning to walk? She picked up Katrina & gave her a bottle, when she was starting to fall asleep, Izuki cradled her for awhile, until she was sure she was asleep, & then took her upstairs to lay her in her crib. Izuki then slipped on her shoes & headed to go to the garden, she checked out the window & t hey were still there. But as soon as she shut the door she heard Katrina start crying...
She came back in & picked her back up, hushing her & trying to quiet her back down... and possibly get her back to sleep. But it was impossible... and when she looked out the window again, they were gone.

Chapter 1: Before the Death of Katrina I
Part 1:
The royal family at Carmella Castle, in the world of Majic, currently consists of the queen: Katrina Sophia Carmella, the king: Jeremiah Edwards Carmella, the princess twins Izuki & Izuna, now four years old, & the unborn prince or princess still to come. That afternoon, the royal family had just celebrated the twins' fourth birthday & naturally, nearly the while kingdom & a few members of other kingdoms;invited or not, had attended this enormous celebration. There were many from the Elfen Kingdom there, as they were good allies of the Carmellas, as were the Fairy People, Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Demons, & Half-Demons.However, those from the Vampire-Witch Kingdom, or " The Forbidden Kingdom", were not welcome... They had tried numerous times in the past to take over the kingdom, before, & especially after the twins were born. They were, & remain to this day, very evil people; using dark majic, evil sorcery, & sucking dry the people near their lands of their blood.
While sitting in his throne next to his lovely wife, King Jeremiah received alarming news from one of his servants, that a small group of Vampire-Witches, had infact been spotted. The twins had been sitting near the fountain outside, playing, when one of the vampire-witches had attracted Izuna's attention. She had tried to talk to her but she was gone in an istant with "her friends". Izuna ran to ask one of the servants if they had seen where she went. Upon suddenly renoticing her & pointing with a small grin, the servant had recognized her right away as a Vampire-Witch from the Forbidden Kingdom; possibly the queen herself. Quickly, he told Izuna to go find Izuki & stay close; he then rushed to alert the king.
The king immediately ordered all the guards to protect the queen, & to find and protect his daughters before something were to happen to them. The Vampire-Witch who had been spotted earlier was sighted outside, headed towards the twins at the fountain, & was confirmed to be the queen of the Vampire-Witches; Mizuki Senna Cross. Within minutes, the entire castle was alerted & all guards were rushing to the area. Within seconds the queen of the Forbidden Kingdom had been surrounded & enclosed by a large circle of guards, although they kept a safe distance; fir they were highly aware of her majic skills.
" Mizuki Cross, for invading the kingdom of Carmella, & posing a threat against the royal family, I hereby place you under arrest. In the name of King Jeremiah himself", one of the guards announced, in a commanding yet somewhat wavering tone. " "Oh, really now? Is that what you plan to do?", Mizuki laughs maniacally & rolls her eyes at him, glares turning to look at them all, and loves the sight of seeing them cringe at the mere sight of her. She enjoys, loves the idea that here in this kingdom... she is immensely feared. "Hmm!" she smirks & the all take a step back, anticipating her next move. " Watch out! Run for it!!!", one of the guards shouts. They all start to scramble, but not before the cunning Mizuki can clap her hands together & thrust her palms flat onto the ground, blowing them all away with a flash of blue light.
" A-Alchemy?!", one of the guards says. "Be on your guard men! She knows Alchemy as well as the Dark Majic!", he shouts. " Fools! There is no way I can allow myself to be captured, not yet at least... I have plans here, which will allow me to finally be ruler of this kingdom once and for all!!" , Mizuki announces for all to hear. She laughs as the guards suddenly start to reassemble, running towards her. "Hmm? What's this? Re-animated so hastily? " , Mizuki looks swiftly to her left side & notices the small child princess Izuna running to her. " Hmm? " The guards are raisin guns when all of a sudden one of them stops and yells, " Cease fire! Princess Izuna!!"
" That's far enough boys...", she smirks as she quickly grabs Izuna & forming a dagger with Alchemy, holds it to Izuna's neck, holding her tight with her other arm. " Princess Izuna... let her go!!! She's not the one you want, it's the kingdom you're after, am I not correct?? ", one of the guards yells out hastily. " Come now... I'm a negotiable person," she smiles" now, go get the King & Queen... Now!", she smirks evily. " Lower your blade!" , the guard calls out angrily. " Fine." She shrugs & lowers her other arm, wrapping it also around the princess. Two of the guards rush off to fetch the king & queen. When they return, the king, queen, & Princess Izuki, all stand in horror over what it is in front of their eyes.
" That's right Carmellas... Your precious daughter is being held hostage, and there...is...nothing... that any of you can do about it!!" She burst out laughing uncontrollably & then stares directly at the king. " That is of course, unless you would like to make a... deal?", she smirks evily, awaiting an answer. " You monster!! What do you want from us?!", the king demands. " Why, isn't it obvious? The kingdom of course! Hand it over now, or your daughter's life.... is mine...", she smirks evily, this time revealing her fangs. The queen wavers on the thought & steps forward, tears filling her eyes, about to speak; to agree with this witch... But the king will not allow it, he steps forward and shouts" NEVER!! This kingdom shall NEVER be yours, no matter WHAT you do, you evil Witch!!"
Izuki is clinging to her mom, crying, & they both watch in disbeleif at what is taking place before their very eyes. " Very well, this is what you wish, is it, Carmella? Say goodbye to your precious daughter...The next time you see me, I will be in greater power than ever before!", she laughs & disappears with Izuna Carmella. " How-How could you, Jeremiah??" Queen Katrina is sobbing worse than she ever has before. " Katrina, it will be alright... I doubt she will ever harm our daughter, merely attempt to use her for her own plans of destruction on our kingdom... It is better this way, if we had handed over the kingdom to her, you KNOW that the first thing she'd plot, would be to have us all killed...", the king says as he picks up Izuki & puts an arm around Katrina's shoulder to comfort her.
" Maybe you are right...but...we MUST do SOMETHING to get her back?!" , Katrina stresses. " That would only make her want to wage war on us Katrina...", Jeremiah says & then calls for the medical servants to have the injured guards taken care of. He then sends everyone home. That night, they all greive... for the loss of a family member, & for the horrible world their new child would be brought into...
Part 2:
In November, many preparations are being made at Carmella Castle, as well as in every other kingdom, yes, even the evil ones like the Forbidden Kingdom... Izuki Carmella, the remaining twin from eight years past is helping cook & prepare foods for the upcoming ThanksGiving Celebration; along with her little sister, yes, the one you've all been anticipating: the 3rd Princess of Carmella Kingdom, Ichigo Izuna Carmella.
November 25th, the food is ready, the decorations are up, everyone in the castle has been nothing but busy all month. Now, finally the time for the Thanksgiving Celebration has come. All day there are festivities to enjoy & dances in the ballroom being held. Ichigo & Izuki are meeting many relatives that they've never even heard of, or just plain don't remember! Izuki meets a cousin who could be her precise twin, had she been abit younger.... Ichigo has many people introduced to her. Being the youngest Princess & the newest, she is getting a lot of attention. Their mother is hardly around any more, with more important matters at hand. Therefore, Ichigo clings to Izuki at nearly every winking moment, as if she herself, were Ichigo's true mother. Ichigo only wants the attention of her big sister & does a very good job at keeping Izuki all to herself. Ichigo doesn't talk much, seeings how she is still so young, & still doesn't know too many people; & doesn't have any friends in the castle besides her Role Model Izuki of course.
Later that evening, when it is time for the Thanksgiving meal, Izuki takes a seat by the cousin she met earlier, the one who could be her twin, Izabella LaRosa. Ichigo steals the seat next to Izuki and her mom. Other relatives, many many relatives, also find their seats & they all say grace, led by Queen Katrina." Dear Lord, thank you for this enormous meal, in which we can share with "most" of our family members... We thank you for this time ou have given "us" to be together & I pray that the futures of my children, including Izuna & my unborn child will be safe. Amen. Every one else at the large table replies as well "Amen." Every one has a good meal & afterwards enjoys another dance in the ball room, among friends & family alike.chigo meets a daughter of a family friend, of course this couldn't be kept secret for too long,& when Katrina heard, she was ecstatic. The girls were happy to be able to spend some time with their parents on ThanksGiving, because even though she seemed fine on that day, they knew that their mother had developed a small cough a few weeks earlier, that had only been getting worse over the weeks....
In Mid-December, she started getting frequent fevers & slept during the daytime more often. The girls would visit her every day & help with her medicine, to try & help her get better. "Is mommy gonna die, Izuki? " Ichigo asked curiously, & cautiously, of her sister one day; after they had visited their mother for the day. " I don't know Ichigo... I sure hope not... Believe me, I want mommy to live just as much as you do... " Izuki quickly wiped away the tears forming in her eyes, so that Ichigo wouldn't see... but she did, & that only made her worry more... At that time, Izuki had been 12, & Ichigo still 8. Their mother Katrina had still been expecting when she became ill. So everyone was worried if the child would be born healthy, or even alive at this point.
The day has finally arrived when the baby was to be born & Katrina had reacher the critical point in her illness. Their mother had started the birthing process early that morning & when the baby was finally born, -a very small & fragile, yet healthy little girl- Izuki & Ichigo came in to see their mother in was was to be her last moments. Katrina handed the baby over to Izuki, with Ichigo clinging to her. The four were alone in the room, Ichigo & Izuki both knelt on either side of Katrina * held her hands. " Izuki, Ichigo... take care of your baby sister for me... Your father & I have given her the name Katrina Izuna the 2nd. Be good girls for your father, & Izuki, I leave the Kingdom to you, when a fitting husband is found for you of course.... If for some reason you cannot, or do not iwsh to... the kingdom shall belong to your sister... Izuna." She took the crying baby in her arms & enveloped her daughters in one big hug...."Tell your sisters that i loved them both until the moment we were separated against our own wills...", they sat with their mother until her last breath; & when finally her arms fell, & Izuki picked up Katrina II, Ichigo & Izuki broke into silent tears...
Izuki was completely protective of Katrina II, she held her at all times & insister on caring for her herself... For the first year of Katrina's life, Izuki acted as a mother to both Ichigo & the child. After that first year, given time to grieve ; Izuki's father, the king, had started arranging plans for an arranged marriage for Izuki. One night, after laying Katrina & Ichigo to sleep, Izuki was heading to inform her father. She stopped outside the doorway of her fathers room, she saw that he was talking to a man she had not seen before; obviously about something important. " Yes, & so I believe that it is time to fine my eldest daughter, Izuki a suitable husband. You may be just the right person Prince Sanders.", Izuki overheard her father say. She gasped & covered her mouth quickly with both hands.
"Well, I thank youfor choosing me your highness... I believe that I may make a suitable husband for your daughter. We shall meet tomorrow then?", the mysterious " Prince Sanders" replied... " But of course, James... You shall meet in the morning when we have our first meal of the day." said her father. "Perfect. I cannot wait.". said the Prince with a smile. Izuki had heard just about enough, she was about to sneak back to her room when she suddenly her him speak again. " By the way, where will i be sleeping your highness? " " Oh, yes I almost forgot! Let me show you." the king said." What?!" Izuki thinks, " He's sleeping here? In this very castle!?" she had let out a small scream & she heard them coming. " Did you hear something your highness?" She quickly runs back to her room before the door opens. " Hm... no, why do you ask?", says the king."Hmm..." he looks around as the step through the doorway. " Nevermind... probably just a mouse..."
