Wow... Impressive... Haha but no, I have to say that that whole... Thing doesn't come to my mind when I think of lampposts... YOU'RE the mental one, I think..
You're walking to the super market at night to get ingredients for dinner, when all of a sudden a hooded figure jumps out of an alley in front of you. You can clearly see the bulge in his jacket, which you know to be a gun, and the person begins reaching for said weapon. You turn around and begin to run, disorientated as gun shots are heard from behind you. Suddenly, the sound of ringing shots cease, and you notice a clearing up ahead. It is surrounded by a small forest of cherry blossom trees, and as you emerge from the foliage you can see a lamp post up ahead. Squinting, you also make out a figure standing in the dull pool of light the lamp post makes. You can also clearly see the shadow of a gun pointed straight at your forehead.
Now, wasn't that creepy?! That's what I think of every time I think of lamp posts... -_-'

You're just going mental. xD No matter how you look at it, a lamp post in the middle of a clearing is creepy. *shudders*
