    @pandaman08:

    If I'd do so I'd just forget it anyway as I'm not much of an accessory person. Thanks for the advice though. And trust me, lesson is learned. I could have payed badly for it. I don't know what I'll do to be honest as always placing it on one spot never works for me since I usually forget to do so. I also always double or triple check stuff when I leave (though this was when I came back), wondering if the iron is still turned on, if the lights and gas are turned off etc. But it's interesting how I thought of it a few days before it actually happened. Oh well, I'll be more careful for sure in the future.

    @Puppet Mistress:

    I know right?! I mean pretty much anyone had entrance to my flat that night. At least the neighbour warned me. I am so clumsy and forgetful at times. Thing is, I don't even remember leaving it there.

    oh no, that's what I fear of doing too.
    That's why Im always OCD when I am making sure my key card for my dorm is in my backpack. I always stress about if I lock the door correctly or not too -__-
    hopefully this is a lesson learned for you ^^
    Maybe you'd need to hook your key in a lanyard so that you could wear it. Doesn't work for me but it might help you. My floor mates in my dormitory swear by it.
    Good luck!
