I wonder if she even realized that she's likely to drive people away from her by being like that. I also wonder if she's ever been poor. Cause once you've been there, it's hard to forget. I've found that the ones who talk about 'being poor' usually aren't.
But yeah, people can be pretty thoughtless and when it's someone you really like as a friend... it's just irritating as hell.
This reminds me of times when I'm at work( I work at my school's bookstore)and people would come in complaining about how expensive their books are. One time a controlling mom and her awkward son came in and the mom complained about a $15 book. She said it was over priced and too expensive, but the thing was both her son and her were wearing brands,have an ipad, both have an iphone and things that would indicated that they were well off. People just expect to have free books....and go to free colleges. Dude, college is an investment!
