Good to hear you had a great time with friends and family. That's always a plus in my book, and I am sure the act of becoming drunk only helped relax you from the stress of the crazy car lol. We all deserve a break in life, even if it is just getting drunk lol.
The only real bone I have with college (in general) is that for it to be a successful step for a person, that person has to have a good plan for what they're going to use their degree after graduation. I could easily do the college part, but I had no plan beyond that, and after realising that I just sort of lost motivation for a lot of things.
My first sister didn't really have much of a plan, either. I think my two youngest sisters do, so I'm hoping their efforts pan out much more streamlined than mine have.
But. If you can see something so college turns into a stepping stone, go for it. It's not a hard system. You can get it if you want it. Otherwise, it just sort of turns into a social stratum deal, and I don't really like those to begin with.
