I'm gonna disagree with everyone else here and say, rather than just the alcohol, it's probably a combination of everything. Maybe other stuff not mentioned here. I mean, alcohol is a depressant, it doesn't tend to make people grouchy.
Having said that, though, the next time people want to push alcohol on you, tell 'em to take a hike. :/ It's very immature.
